Anyone here that knows the chance of Fantagraphics reprinting some volumes and box sets of their Floyd Gottfredson Library? The two color volumes seem to have been out of print a long while now, together with the box set of vol 3+4 and 9+10 and of color Sundays box set.. I can not be the only one here wanting a reprint of these items, am I right?
Good luck with that, I have been wating five and a half years for mickey sundays to show up, seems the only thing constantly in print is barks, everything else had a limited run

wow, if that is so, then the mickey color sundays must have been selling out like hot cakes! strange that a fact like that would not vouch for a second printing? the color version should also be the volumes with most appeal to new readers I could imagine, especially kids which may find black-and-white too old and boring at a glance.
but to be fair, did not fantagraphics reprint vol. 1 and 2 of Floyd Gotdredson library at a later point if I do recall correctly? or they did reissue the box set for the consumers who bought the two first volumes individually or something like that... I am not certain at this moment.

You might think so, but the two Sunday volumes (which I'm very glad to have) took me far longer to get through than most of the daily strip volumes. Many of the Sunday pages are just standalone gags, which (to me at least) make for less engaging reading than the daily adventure serials. I also think many of the gag pages use too many panels to get to the point. And even the Sunday strips which are longer adventures often seem to be written with a younger audience in mind, with less stakes than the best daily adventures. (I can't see "The Robin Hood Adventure" as the grand masterpiece which the article writers in the second volume claim it is.)

that verdict was not too good, but it does not change my mind about really wanting these volumes. something must have made them sell out so fast compared to the other volumes (if the case was not that fantagraphics had a lower print run for he Color Sundays (I can not think of why they would) ). but being late to the party as I was when it comes to FGL series I still would like to be able to own a complete collection, so a reprinting would really be swell.
some of the Don Rosa box sets came into a second printing and now the latest the Complete LaToSMD as been solicited for a reprint at fantagraphics own site Fantagraphics product page, complete life and times scrooge mcduck vol. 1 for a second printing already! heck that was one fast selling volume.
I would imagine that reprints are determined by how well something sells. The Complete Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck is probably (and sadly) the only Disney comic on some people’s radar, where Gottfredson’s work is probably mostly sought out by knowledgeable collectors. As much as he’d hate to hear it, the Don Rosa books are probably also sought out by classic and current DuckTales fans. (So much for “This is NOT DuckTales!”).

same here. but what I do not understand if that is so, and the color sundays volumes which came out in 2013 if I recall correct then were out of print already in 2014, why did that not grant a reprint I wonder?
