Actually, does anyone have any idea what to expect from the Disney Adventures book?
The Amazon description has "In "Just Us Justice Ducks," Darkwing Duck and DuckTales' Gizmoduck are called to action when the Fearsome Five -- Negaduck, Megavolt, Liquidator, Bushroot, and Quackerjack -- successfully take over St. Canard! Then Goofy and Max take a trip on the open road... far from Max's beloved Roxanne, but into the clutches of a Bigfoot in the original comics adaptation of A Goofy Movie!"
The only original story mentioned in the description is Legend of the Chaos God - which is interesting, but I don't know if it warrants buying the full volume.
Do the adaptations add anything of interest, or do they fall into the usual category of just being inferior retellings of the movies/episodes?
Should we be expecting enough original content to justify a purchase?
Never read Disney Adventures outside of the Chaos God story, so I don't really know what to expect.
Personally, I'm hoping a future volume of this series focuses on the Disney Adventures Gargoyles comics, as I'm a big fan of the Gargoyles TV series (and one of the Disney Adventures comics even provided the inspiration for an episode of the show). Speaking of which, I'd love to see a proper book reprint of the Gargoyles comic books from Slave Labor Graphics too.
Though it's a decent story, it doesn't really utilize the crossover element at all; the only parts where I remember any actual crossover are the last two, between Darkwing Duck and Ducktales.
Outside of that, each chapter is its own story, and while they do link together, there's pretty much no interaction between the different universes.
