Do you like the theory that Gideon is Scrooge's half-brother, born after Fergus remarried post-Downy's death around 1900, putting him in his late fifties in "present-day" stories? Or do you consider him a full brother? Regardless, Scrooge's claim to being the "Last of the Clan McDuck" in "The Old Castle's Secret" makes Gideon's existence difficult to reconcile (not to mention several instances where Donald is said to be Scrooge's closest living relative). Cheeryble is non-headcanon for me, as well.

Half-brother, born around 1884 as the biological son of Downy and adopted son of Fergus
Also, Gideon does not seems to want any inheritance from Scrooge, just like his sisters
I've revived this thread because i came to a conclusion
In The Billionaire of Dismal Downs, Fergus refers to his three children as the "last of clan McDuck", not only Scrooge. So perhaps this is not necessarily a title wield only by Scrooge, but by his entire generation. Instead of a single "last member", maybe we can consider this title as being actually "the last generation of clan McDuck"
It's not a perfect solution but i allows me to include some other McDucks like Gideon, Douglas and Moocher in my personal canon
