- Duckmall. Has anyone read this? Does it really not feature any recurring characters?
This is just one page, which is part of a series of sub-stories. So, technically in that page no recurring characters appear, but just in the next page there are Donald and Angus Fangus (but inducks list it as a separate story called Io, Robyonte)
farmspirit But Inducks lists it as a 4-page story. Is it perhaps a frame story that is devided into 4 parts and 1 page appears between each story it is published with?

I counted it wrong, there are 2 pages before the first sub-story start. I guess inducks counts those 2 and the last 2 of the story. In those 4 pages only appears generic background characters, plus the Duckmall mascot in various merchandise, which frequently appears in the PK2 serie. It is all narrated by the Duckmall itself, so if you count it as a character (since it has a speaking voice and seems conscious of what it sees, it isn't an unique character, since it appears in other stories of the aforementioned serie.
Fun fact: technically speaking there is another character that would later reappear with the main cast, even if at this point we didn't know who it was yet. In the first page of Duckmall we see one of the Ducklair Tower's gargoyles, and in the 2015 story Il raggio nero we discover that they are two guardians created by Everett to protect our universe from external menaces. They are called Raksaka and Thala.
Found one more multi-page comic without any visible recurring character: Quattro nella tenda in which all recurring characters are hidden in a tent throughout the whole story. So it seems that this and the previously mentioned Paperi a tentoni are the only two multi-page Duck- or Mouse-universe comics without any visible recurring character ever.
One of the things I really enjoy is when someone writes or draws a character they hardly ever do. One example I found out about recently: a comic featuring Mickey drawn by Vicar! inducks.org/story.php?c=D+99038

This reminds me of the few times Don Rosa has drawn Mickey. Well, only on covers, of course, since in his headcanon, Mickey is a celebrity and not a personal friend of Donald's. Still, I find his version of Mickey rather charming in a very "classical" way.
juicymcduck Btw, I really hope that one day one of the Disney comic publishers will get someone to finish Rosa's The Starstruck Duck. Egmont squeezed everything out of Barks they possibly could (JW remakes by Jippes, various comics that were based on plots by Barks, etc) so I am surprised Egmont has not done it yet.
Fun fact: earlier this year the longest Bucky Bug comic in 68 years was published in the Netherlands! This 6 page long comic: H 2022-297 Then a couple months later they published another 6 page Bucky Bug comic: H 2022-398 These two are the only Bucky Bug comics that are over 5 pages long since 1955!
Last year in this thread I made a list of Disney comics in which either no recurring character appears or the recurring characters that appear are not visible. (See previous page). After I made that list, I found a French blog post dealing with the exact same topic. Since that blog post wasn't as complete as my list, I let them know which relevant comics were missing from their list. And now, a year later, thanks to that French blog post, they reprinted all 10 such Donald Duck daily comic strips in Les trésors de Picsou # 65. I need to get that issue!
Btw, I wish someone published a comic book collecting not only those 10 DD daily strips, but all Disney daily and sunday strips in which either no recurring character appears or the recurring characters that appear are not visible.

On the subject of non Disney characters appearing in Disney comics, there's also that time where a mistake somehow had Bugs Bunny in Walt Disney Digest.
DC comics has published two "Who's Who" omnibuses, detailing hundreds of DC characters. Marvel also released such books in the past. What I would give for a similar encyclopedia of Disney comic characters!
It seems like a very weird character. And even weirder is his side character "Le rat de bibliothèque" who according to Inducks appeared both in official Disney comics AND non-Disney comics that were printed in the official Disney publication "Mickey Parade". Whaaat? inducks.org/character.php?c1=date&c=Le+rat+de+biblioth%C3%A8que&view=4
Sorry for three comments in a row from me, but I've been wondering: which characters that first appeared in Walt Disney Animation Studios films have interacted the most often with characters in the Duck and Mouse universes in comics?
Are these the top 5?
