Can we move Sir Eider up a generation? He's currently the great-grandfather of Fayodor McDuck, despite there being on 35 years between their respective big battles (946 and 981, respectively). Sir Eider currently looks like he was born in the 840s, which would make him way too old. I would take out the unnamed MacDuich between Sir Eider and Sir Smokt, and kick him to some other place.

Eider's position is actually now that he is born in 880. These are now the approximate birth years:
Eider can of course be shifted if you think it's needed, but then some others need probably be shifted as well. The birth years of Smokt and Juicy are given on those oil paintings.
In I TL 2834-3, there is Scrooge's ancestor Long John de'Paper.
In I TL 2575-5, there are ancestors of the Ducks from Central America (before the arrival of Columbus). They are called Paol-Itnoch Paper-Inotl, his uncle Paper-Otlec, and the three nephews Quitl, Quotl and Quatl.
I'm currently waist-deep in Walt Disney's (Mickey Mouse Club) Magazine, a bi-monthly created at Disney for Western between 1956 and 1959. It features much of Disney's top-level talent from that time, and is edited by the same folks who oversaw Barks' work. The magazine constantly crosses over between fact and fiction, with many an informative article being written from an invented character's point-of-view, and fictional accounts of Disney movies presented as true by the heroes that feature in them. Mickey and Minnie serve as honorary editors.
Now why is this relevant to this thread? The April 1957 issue has an article called "A Gallery of Ducks" on the "Gallery of Old Masters" series of paintings that were created by a couple of studio artists in the late '30s. The conceit of the article is that the paintings represent DUCK ANCESTORS hanging in McDuck manor. That's not the original intention for the paintings, but something invented for this article.
You decide whether we want them in the family tree, I'm just here to provide the story.
The two sisters are reportedly the first in Donald's family to have "a real career" in the theater, because of course Donald is still an actor in this one.
Interesting. This let me check the Mickey Magazine issues (in Dutch), in which some of the portraits are also shown. Also there, the portraits are said to be of Donald's relatives:
The Blue Duck is called Rob Duck, and also said to be Donald's ancestor.
Margot Duck is called Fatima Moeladuck, and said to be Donald's cousin from Morocco. It is also said that Fatima Moeladuck married with Sidi Beck Toe, a carpets wholesaler.
The Two Duck sisters are said to be Donald's great-aunts Arabella and Anabella Duck.
Duck with a Glove (Hans van der Duck), is said to be a relative, but no name given.
There are also some other portraits from the series said to be relatives:
Lady Daisy Duck is called Lady Glenmore Chatham Duck of Darnival, and said to be Donald's ancestor who came with the Mayflower to America.
Tahitian Ducks, are said to be Donald's aunts from Tahiti.
Vincent van Duck is also said to be an ancestor (and a friend of Vincent van Gogh).
Soup's On has also been published in Mickey Magazine, but I cannot check this one.
Would it be of any interest to your, or this thread in general, if I tried and check what the names of those characters are in the French-language edition of Mickey Magazine?

I can definitely tell you it'd be helpful and appreciated as far as indexation goes

Also, I feel it necessary to point out that DN-3000 has beaten Daffy's record for the most wives/mothers-of-children. That feels very strange to write, but here we are

hi in the third page of this story inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2844-1 a duck family tree appears and, on it, there are some new unidentified ducks
Having read the Brazilian version, I can confirm this:
(You're Scrooge McDuck's favorite nephew! You should be proud to belong to my lineage, to be the feathers of my feathers!)
Like seemingly every tree seen in the stories, this one is somewhat nonsensical. There are no names given, and the actual connections seem to be little more than characters randomly slapped on in random spots. Position doesn't indicate age, as Donald is above Huey, Dewey and Louie, who are above Grandma Duck, who is above Daisy. Relation doesn't seem to be indicated by specific branches - or if it is, I can't make any sense of how it's done.
Still, danoduck is correct in that there are definitely a few relatives on this who are seemingly new: We can clearly identify Donald at the top, Fethry and Gladstone immediately below him, HDL to their left, Grandma Duck on the next row, what appears to be Gus Goose beside her and Daisy at the start of the next row. I believe, though am uncertain, that the one in the bottom right is supposed to be Scrooge. The beak doesn't match his bill, but they do have his whiskers - and since Scrooge brings up the tree referring to Donald's relation to him, it would only make sense that Scrooge is actually on the tree.
That leaves us with: The duck with the small bow in the top right The pretty plain duck below Grandma Duck. The lumpy-headed, seemingly three-eyed duck below Gus. The duck with the capotain(?) below Daisy.
They beg a few questions: Are any of these meant to be existing characters that were not previously identified as relatives, akin to Gyro in older stories? How far back does it go? Generations clearly mean nothing on the tree itself, so should we assume that they're all somewhere between HDL's generation and Scrooge/Grandma's? How much liberty can we take if we assume them to be other characters? Assuming the bottom-right character is Scrooge, details like beaks can be wrong and glasses can be missing.
Regardless of how this is answered, great find, danoduck!
EDIT: There's a second panel in which the tree is visible
(Be smart, Donald! I can cross your name off the family organization chart!) (You know what, Uncle? Be my guest!)
As one can see, it's not entirely consistent with the first panel. Scrooge notes that he can cross Donald off, but I'd take that as little more than a gag - yes, technically it implies he could have drawn the links to certain characters, but there's no reason to assume that it's not factual.
How much we take from this panel depends on how much you attribute to artistic license - I'd assume that blond duck is supposed to be Gladstone, but he's higher up on the first panel. It also shouldn't be Grandma, as she's on the left side, not the right. You could assume it to be either one of them or a new character - if a new one, it further implies the duck beside them to be new, too. It's also technically possible that the blond duck is three-eyed lumpy head, now unobscured. Then, there are one or two more at the bottom - the one on the right is definitely new. It's possible there's another under Scrooge's thumb, but looking at placements, that may just be Scrooge himself.
So, basically, this panel introduces: Two new ducks, no discernible features. Possibly one new blond duck, who could also be Gladstone or Grandma misplaced.

Ticking away at the index, just wanted to raise some thoughts on D 2005-070 and the descendants included within. I love this story, so I'll warn in advance of SPOILERS.
I'm assuming the descendants from this story are absent because of the alterations to the timeline that occur at the end of the story. I'd like to (referring to the English version, at least) argue in favour of their inclusion - from my own reading of the story, it seems that the likelihood of their existence is still more arguable than not.
To summarize the story: 100 years in the future, a guided tour is being run through the Calisota Historical Museum. The robotic guide leads everyone to the McDuck Legacy Room - she begins to explain, before briefly having a moment of disruption. She explains that, until recently, time travel was unrestricted, and these time distortions happen whenever the time stream is altered. She then explains that the constant changes to history make it impossible for non-computerized brains to keep up.
A child asks about a wand on display, which came from Magica's final attempt to steal Scrooge's Number One Dime. I won't go into much detail since it's not massively relevant - basically, she made the dime disappear, it couldn't be found, Scrooge disappeared soon after. Hijinx ensue in Duckburg, but by the end of it, Donald and Quackfaster turn the McDuck Empire into a non-profit charity, they drive Glomgold and Rockerduck out of business, Donald and Daisy get married. When they're old enough, Donald and Quackfaster leave the Empire to Huey, Dewey and Louie, who move it into ecological research. We then see the descendants of the Duck family.
Shortly after, Scrooge comes back, explains that Gyro analyzed the wand and sent Scrooge ahead in time to where the dime ended up. He takes it, there's another time distortion, and the guide explains the wand as being the product of one of Magica's many failed attempts to get her hands on the dime.
So, the exclusion of the family members seems reasonable enough on the surface - Scrooge never disappeared, as far as the timeline is concerned, so logically they shouldn't have been born. However, there are two details that would make me point to the likelihood of them surviving in some capacity: The first is that, while people can be hit by time distortions, they don't seem to just vanish or anything. I can't speak much to the technology or how the time stream actually works in this story as it's only briefly touched on, but my own interpretation is that, though a bit illogical, people seem to be fixed, as do certain details, and what changes is only what timeline is described as fact, for lack of better explanation. We do see some details changing, which I'd find worth noting. First of all, Scrooge's intervention should have radically altered the world. Assuming things more-or-less went back to the status quo, chances are that this idyllic world, free of pollution, would be massively different, but everything stays almost the same. The only difference I noticed is... that the Money Bin looks different. I don't know if it's a portrait or a window, but after Scrooge's interventions, it has solar panels that it didn't before. For comparison:
It's also worth noting in this regard that, while theoretically it could make sense, surely people should have disappeared, or other people should have appeared? This is a change being made 100 years ago, in which the entire landscape of the world is changed massively. It's not literally impossible that the guests are unaffected, but it does seem hard to buy. It's also worth noting that, at least from what I can see, the guests do feel the time distortion when Scrooge pops in and back out. I could be wrong, but it seems that they're being made aware of it by the fabric of the universe, for lack of better phrasing, but aren't actually affected or changed (Or poofed).
The second point of note, which could explain the inconsistency, comes from La Nuova Storia e Gloria della Dinastia dei Paperi, specifically from I TL 3237-2. Without going into a summary of that Saga, the events of history are changed thanks to Scrooge, and we see the Rockerdroid fading away. P13- panics, of course, because that would obviously mean that they should disappear as well:
Scrooge and ZP1+ explain it in the most hilarious way this point could have been handled:
"I knew I could do it without consequences! The Duck dynasty is tough!" "In fact we are fine!" So... they defy logic and reality just because they're a tough family.
Though this is a separate story, I feel it's worth bringing up because, if the logic is applied to D 2005-070, a lot of the ridiculous stuff actually starts to make sense. The Duck family can survive time distortions, which is why the changes don't affect them. Going by the solar panels seen at the end of the story, I'd almost wonder if it could be explained as the Duck family being so tough or omnipresent that, should time be changed in ways that would destroy them, the time stream is altered to accommodate their survival.
Obviously this is all just based on my own interpretation, but my main argument would be that the descendants from that story have more going for their existence than against - both in the context of the story alone and if applied to the broader comic universe.
EDIT: Unrelated to the point being made in this post, but I thought I'd be better off editing this one than asking in a new one. Regarding Quantum Gearloose, do we have confirmation of his full name? While the scans confirm his first name as Quantum and that he's related to Gyro, I'd just like to verify, if anyone can, that his name is Quantum Gearloose (Or rather, Quantum Pitagorico as I'd assume it would be). The only other scans I could find in a brief search only have him referred to as 'Dottor Quantum' - so it's mainly just for verification purposes
Secondly, also regarding Quantum's stories, the first is, in Italian, called 'The Treasure of Captain Tiburon'. Assuming that Tiburon is the Scrooge lookalike, is it possible that this Tiburon is intended to be Tiburon El Duck from D/D 2000-024? That's just a haphazard guess thrown out there, but I figured it was worth bringing up
Finally, less relevant to the tree, but how far back do the Quantum stories go? There's one named 'Ancient Egypt' - is that the furthest back point in time from these stories? If not, are there any set in prehistory?

I personally know the author of D/D 2000-024 and, when the latter story was published here in Italy, I asked myself the same thing. However, Artibani's story takes place in 1540 (way before Faccioli's) and Tiburon is the name of the brown bird with bold eyebrow (no connection to the Duck family). In the same story, Quantum calls Gyro "pro-pro-prozio" (great-great-granduncle), but -of course- that would be technically impossible (unless Gyro or one of his closer descendants travelled to the future and lived there).
If you like reading stories that takes place in the future, you might want to check D 2023-034 out (if you haven't yet). It's set 50 years in the future... pretty curious.

Ahh, thank you for that bit of context! Yes, that would pretty thoroughly rule out that connection - I figured it was a long shot anyway, especially since the writers were different. Still, a part of me was hopeful that Artibani may have taken the concept and reworked it for XPW TMA 1. It's a shame that that's not the case, but I appreciate having a definitive answer
Regarding the link with Quantum, that's a fair point - I was just under the impression that he deliberately cut the amount of 'pros' short. That being said, I suppose there's nothing indicating that in the story itself. I'd still say that would be the best solution to go with, though - while there is precedent for time travel hijinx or somehow increased longevity, I'd go with Occam's Razor and just assume that he said 'great-great-granduncle' as a shorthand for 'great-great...-granduncle'. Unless, of course, there's anything in the XPW TMA stories that would suggest otherwise - they're currently pretty inaccessible for me, sadly.
And I haven't read D 2023-034 yet! On a side-project, I'm currently looking at stories set in prehistory, though I do intend to look at stories set in the future as well. That ought to be a good read if I can track it down!

Forgive me if it's been mentioned before, but Highland Hijinks mentions an ancestor from the 16th century. In the French version, he's called Vigorius McPicsou (i.e. McDuck), and he is said to have been mad about sports. In 1548, he came up with a rule according to which a McDuck must participate in the Highland games at least one per decade, and must NOT be last, or he'll be forced to sell the castle to the victor of the competition for 25 pounds.
