Has anyone else received this series yet? Is it just me, or is it kinda a big disappointment? I mean, well, from the looks of it, it seems to be literally just screencaps from the shorts! Those had lovely art, but I thought this should have been so much more!
But Carl Barks didn't get away with adding material to the Trick or Treat comic...he didn't even get paid for the pages that deviated too far from the film's story.
But the fans and the authors don't have final say on the comics. Disney does. As much as we as fans (or creators, editors, pesky fan artists or whatever) might love the characters, we don't (and never will) own them. Again, Disney does.

The "never will" is debatable though. Copyrights don't last forever, you know. Most of us are likely to see fanmade Carl Barks editions in their lifetimes.
