basically, the "continuity" is: Classic Duck Avenger->PKNA->PK2->DoubleDuck->PKNE
Meanwhile, Donald ALSO moonlights as Agent QQ7 for Scrooge's industrial counterespionage agency. And people wonder why he tries to lazy around as much as possible! Basically, any "classic" Duck Avenger story is supposed to be set before PKNA, no matter when it came out. Though most don't care because continuity has never been a strong point in normal Italian stories.
The only "out of continuity" is PK-Pikappa, which makes sense because in there Donald never was Duck Avenger which in turn... you'll have to read the crossover.
I've read this, it's a very well written story and Mottura's art is spectacular as always.
Regarding November's issues, they all seem interesting. I've read the Mickey Mouse and Uncle Scrooge main stories and they're definitely good choices. Well, Casty and Artibani are pretty much guarantees of quality.
It was said that Donald Quest is an italian story...I don't think it's italian, it's probably danish. McGreal doesn't write italian stories, does he?
Donald Quest really is an Italian series, originally written by Disney Italy's Stefano Ambrosio and several assistants. Pat McGreal wasn't involved with it at that originating stage.
Pat's job has simply been to "Americanize" the finished story, especially for IDW—just as Jonathan, Thad, Joe, Gary, Maura, and I have done for other foreign-originated stories.
