So the January solicitations for IDW are out now (here is a link) and what caught my attention was the description for the January Uncle Scrooge issue. The description reminded me of this Scarpa story titled "Brigitta e lo "scoop" sensazionale" only it seems to take place in the North pole rather than the South. I wanted to confirm whether or not my hunch was true.
Yes, speaking as the translator, "The Golden Birds" is indeed running in January. But speaking as a Brigitta fan, I'd love to see that other one run somewhere, too!

Thanks Thad! (And to be completely honest part of the reason I asked is because I'm hopeful that Dickie Duck will be making more appearances in the near future and this story seemed to fit the bill)
I don't know which Dickie stories are coming up (or when), but that was David G's plan - introduce/reintroduce characters like Dickie to ease them into the American readership to make way for further appearances. (Duck Avenger, Trudy, Belle Duck, Ellroy, Portis.)

Sounds like a good plan to me! And considering the fact that Dickie's introductory comic (which has barely even been published outside of Italy) has been translated and released in an American comic (which I honestly never expected to happen), I'd say I'm more than happy to wait.
