So, I'm not quite sure, if this is in the right subforum, but I think so. This thread is about making your own IDW-issues or hardcover books. For example, I want to make an IDW issue, so here is it:
I would be quickly fired for okaying a 25 cent giant full of Tony Strobl stories (as most of these books were). Honestly, I wouldn't want to be the editor. I bet it's a lot more work than you'd think.
Very nice, Deb! I'd like to have that comic book! A new 1958 US Duck Giant Comic to read! Takes me back to 1958! It would be wonderful to find a giant cache of shelved stories from the 1950s.

Oops. I think I deleted my post. This most likely wouldn't be the actual cover, though. I don't think I want to be a comic book editor, though.
I would design the following two alternate covers, using these 2 drawings of mine, and fill the book with the following: Inside would be: (1) Uncle Scrooge in "Uncle Scrooge's Marriage" D 2013-132, Plot by Rob Klein, Script by Rob Klein and Jan Gulbransson, art by Jan Gulbransson, 24 pages; and (2) Donald Duck in "The Upside Down World" D 91034, Plot and script by Rob Klein, art by Jan Gulbransson, 22 pages.
Here's my Halloween Hex, counting on 64 pages of comics:
Nightmare Ship--Rota (15) ZP e il vascello fantasma--Martina/Cavazzano (35) Fantôme à tous les étages--Jacquette/Gonzalez (10) Madam Mim Moves--Dester/Gil-Bao (4)
That's two quite different Duck stories of phantom ships, one Goofy & Mickey ghost story, and my favorite short Mim story. If IDW Disney comics can't use Mim, this could be replaced with a four-page Magica story. For the cover, I'd like a new cover illustrating either of the two phantom ship stories; neither one apparently has a cover illustration yet.
The title would be "Romano Scarpa: Dazzling Debuts". The format would be a hardcover omnibus similar to Fatagraphics' re-releases of Barks, Gottfredson, and Rosa's Disney comics. The stories would be:
It would also feature essays discussing the impacts that these characters had on Disney comics after their creation, as well as discussions of the other characters that Scarpa had created.
