I don't know how old are Fenon and that Mark Beaks guy supposed to be, but I hope Donald is only a few years older than them, as I can't really see him as being older than 35 at most.
I always imagine Donald being betwen 20 and 30... Didn't Carl Barks once mention that he see Donald as very young? Like 19-20?
I think that we discussed in another thread how Barks said in an interview that Donald is 16, but this is something that should be taken with a grain of salt since his Donald is clearly a legal adult: maybe he meant that in many stories he has the (im)maturity of a 16-year old. I see Donald as being in his late 20s or early 30s, so that's why I hope the DuckTales reboot won't show him as being older than, say, 35.
Let's not forget in few early cartoons he was shown to be a school boy...
You used the plural ("few early cartoons"): is there more than one example? I only remember one cartoon in which Donald was a kid, and that is "Donald's Better Self" (1938). A real weird cartoon, I must add, since Donald is drawn with his usual adult design despite being portrayed as a child.
Carl told me that to him, Donald had the mental age of a late teenager. But he realised that he could not have been Huey, Dewey and Louie's guardian had he actually been a late teenager at that time.

There is plenty of people in their 30's with a teenager mentality. The two options are consistent!
Personally, I like to think that:
Donald is around 30 years old Gladstone is as old as him Fethry and Daisy a couple of years younger than Donald Mickey and Minnie some 32 or 33 Goofy and Clarabelle around 36 Horace between 37 and 39 Gyro around 45, or in any case already in his forties Jones in his late forties, but not more than 50 O'Hara in his late 50's, something like 58 or 59 (remark: in Italy he has completely white hair, not brown) Casey not more than 45
Never tried to assign an age to other characters, if I remember correctly.

There is a 16-page thread about the characters' age on the Papersera Forum, so maybe we can also open a thread on this forum about the same subject.
In this clip Gyro appears to be a bit freak-out by his creation so it's just another robot that went out of control on his own ala "Armstrong"...
Also notice the dollar sign on the robot's chest. If it's a robot that was in fact built for Scrooge, then maybe it is, actually, the rebooted Armstrong?
