I pre-ordered this years boxset on book depository, it was supposed to come out today but now it says the boxset is currently unavailable, does anyone know has the date been pushed or something?
Also it says Rosa and Gottfredson boxsets are coming out 3rd october, is this confirmed? There have been some delays in the past.
And while I am on the subject, someone said Donald Duck books will have no more long stories, is this true, what about"Donald finds pirate gold" and there must be more of them?
One more thing is there any approximation of how many Uncle Scrooge books there will be all together? Thank you

Amazon list "Only 3 left in stock (more on the way)" when I write this, so I guess bookdepository is still waiting for the books to be in stock or something like that. My pre-order was shipped two days ago, so the release date hasn't been changed.

The first four volumes of the series hasn't been published yet. So I guess there will be some longer stories in those, like Frozen Gold and Mystery of the Swamp. Wikipedia has a good listing of the books where you can sort by both release order and volume order and get an overview of the box sets.
Since a thread about these books has been made, I want to point out something. I got Uncle Scrooge: The Lost Crown of Genghis Khan recently and I noticed in my copy that there are some pages in Land of the Pygmy Indians where the coloring is slightly off. You can tell because Scrooge's coat changes to a muddy brown color instead of the maroon like color he has for the rest of the story. Is this a printing error with my copy or is that something present in all copies of the book?
I think I have 2 books where on one page the resolution was a bit lower, the lines were not as sharp, then I got the same book in a boxset and it was fine, it is probably a random error

In MY copy, ALL Scrooge's coats are maroon. It must be a "random" error in only 1 book or one print run or portion of a run.

In addition to the first 4 volumes, which will contain long Donald Duck stories, At least 1 or 2 volumes later than "Adventure in Hondorica" will contain long Donald Duck stories, as "Forbidden Valley" and "The Titanic Ants", and "Christmas in Duckburg" all will appear in volumes after that. So, whoever said that must be wrong.
The Gottfredson Library is finished and the Rosa Library will be complete by the end of next year. Will Fantagraphics start releasing the Barks Library more frequently? Even better: how about a William Van Horn Library?
Well, thats great, then there will be over a dozen books with long Donald stories. Also long ago I read that there was to be around 10 Scrooge books, would this be more or less correct?
I was also thinking what Fantagraphics would do in the future, or is there future for Disney collections. Since italian comics are still relatively unknown to american public, I would say a godd selling point would be doing a collection of some of the classic guys that americans got accustomed to through many years of monthly comics. My favorites would be Van Horn guys, Jiipes, the Mcgreals, Murry, Vicar, Ferioli and such, basically more egmontish stuff. Italy wise I would say Scarpa and Cavazzano for a start

Guess I'll have to track down another copy at some point. Ugh... Thanks for letting me know.
As for future books, they are about to start a series (Is it a series?) of books containing Snow White stories by Romano Scarpa. www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/JUL178453
I just hope Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold comes out sooner than later. I had my copy of the first Scrooge volume, Only a Poor Old Man, signed by a Scrooge mascot at Disney World. I would love to do the same with the first Donald volume and have a matching set.
My Fantagraphics management is planning stuff—but we've gotta get greenlights before we can announce it.
There IS a future after Gottfredson. (Though my immune system is still skeptical...)
Can you please give us a hint?
Aw, but wouldn't you rather be surprised? That'd be like knowing what someone bought you as a gift months ahead of your birthday... where's the fun in that?
I can vouch for "squeakyboots". One of my comp copies from Fantagraphics is exactly as he describes: color printing mode is totally off, especially in "Land of the Pygmy Indians". My other copy, however, is just fine. There must be a bad batch from the printer.
Book depo says Gottfredson boxset comes out on 3rd october, fanta site says 17th and amazon says 25th, anyone has info on the real date? Same goes for Don Rosa
