Mickey Mouse: The Phantom Blot's Double Mystery (Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse) Hardcover – October 9, 2018 by Guido Martina (Author), Romano Scarpa (Author)
Mickey and Goofy battle the fiendish Phantom Blot in an action-packed collection of comics classics! Mickey’s diabolical arch-enemy―the Phantom Blot―is on the loose! But when Mickey, Goofy, and Chief O’Hara set out to stop his crime spree, there’s something they don’t know: The Blot has Mickey hypnotized―and as good and evil clash in a spooky old house, our hero is unknowingly doing the bad guy’s bidding! Also in this anthology of Scarpa’s best, Mickey goes on a wild sea adventure in “The Eternal Flame of Kalhoa”―and Scrooge McDuck facing down his old flame, Brigitta MacBridge, in “The Last Balaboo!” Full-color illustrations throughout.
Disney Masters is also getting box set releases like the other Fantagraphics collections but it seems as though they're handling it a bit differently here as there's going to be more than one version of them. There are currently Amazon listings up for Collectors Set #'s 1 and 2 which will have books 1-2 and 3-4 respectively and then there is also a Gift Box Set which states it will have volumes 1 and 3 which is just the Mickey focused volumes, skipping the duck ones.
I'm confused with these box sets. There are "Gift" sets and 'Collector's" sets, both with Sets #1 & #2, but I get the impression they are different, but it is not clear.

It looks like they're doing two sets: one with each book as published, and the second by character (a Mickey Mouse box and a Donald Duck box). I know Donald has some fans who don't like Mickey Mouse, so they can get the set with just the Duck books (their loss!).
Yes, that is Disney Masters Vol. 5, the second Scarpa collection in the series.
Two Scarpa books before a Van Horn book? Two Scarpa books before a Rota book? Really??
Good, that leaves hope for a Van Horn library down the road. WVH is easily no. 3 behind Barks and Rosa as far as North American duck creators go. In a perfect world we'd get a Scarpa-exclusive series as well, but there's so much of his material.

Hey, there might be three or four....
That's because IDW has printed A LOT more Scarpa stories and pages, than Van Horn, not to mention that IDW is trying to promote the Italian stories that have NEVER been printed before in English.

Hopefully the translation will be revised for The Blot's Double Mystery - the flaws of the existing one were discussed at length here.
I'm really angry at Fantagraphics for making a 2nd boxed set using "A Christmas for Shacktown before boxing several other volumes, and also for not also making the boxes available separately from the volumes. So, if I want to get all my Barks sets boxed, I have to buy certain volumes 3 times! Terrible planning, and very customer unfriendly. Why couldn't they plan the sets far ahead, so we know what will come, so we can just pay once for buying all the volumes, and getting them all in boxes?

Same here! 😡 Therefore the Barks books are the only ones that I do not have in boxes. Boxes worked fine with Peanuts, Mickey Mouse and Don Rosa. Why does Fantagraphics do it not the same way for Barks?
