Just found the following page under Scrooge McDuck's filmography on IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt1452587/ It's a (presumably Finnish) TV production from the early 60s that lists Scrooge, Donald, HDL, etc. as some of the characters it features. I can't find anything about it on the internet though; I figure it's just an error on IMDB, but I was wondering if any of you may have heard about it at some point.
I'm guessing that was a 1963 Finnish TV special which presented a US film (perhaps "Uncle Scrooge and Money"?). I say this, because the title: "Pankkiryöstö Ankkalinnassa" means "Banking in Duckburg" in English.
The actor credits are probably for the dubbing Finnish voices. There are credits for a "Director" and 2 "Writers". I think the special "show" had a narrator introducing the film, and the "writing" credits were for what he said in his narrative. The "Director" got credit for "directing" The "wraparound" non-US portion. I really doubt that a Finnish TV production team produced an animated film of its own in 1963.
I'm hoping that Timo can fill us in on the actual details of that show.

I would say Robb is probably right on the money, except Scrooge McDuck and Money was released in 1967… And an animated film is unlikely, but what about a special where Scrooge & Co. were actors in suits or puppets, like in The Mouse Factory or A Magic Kingdom Yuletide Special?

Yes, maybe puppets. Watching human actors act like The Ducks (like the people in character suits in Disney parks) would be something HORRIFIC to do! But, I thought there was a Dell comic book with Scrooge telling The Nephews about money in 1959 or 1960, and maybe there was a film that was based on. I was not buying US Disney comics in 1967 when that Gold Key comic was issued. So, why do I remember one from 1959 or 1960? And, maybe US was on an animated Disney TV episode back then, explaining about money? On the other hand, I've only heard about US being in "Uncle Scrooge and Money" as his only screen appearance until the late 1980s "Mickey's Christmas Carol".
An old tv-show which was broadcasted in TesVisio. It was the first television broadcaster in Finland (1955-1965). Channel was owned by Tekniikan edistämissäätiö (Foundation for Promotion of Technology). I bet the show was televised live, but if there was video recording of any sort, the tape must have been reused several times after that. Finnish YLE (our equivalent of BBC) bought TesVisio in 1964. I could try to find more info about this later. Some actors of that show are still alive. I doubt they used puppets. Perhaps masks?
