To my knowledge, this is the first time a Disney comic is being released by this publisher and judging by the last sentence in this article, it won't be the only one. The Joe Books Frozen series was mostly comprised of stories produced by Disney Publishing Worldwide.

(I doubt most of the people on this forum will be reading this new Frozen comic and I know I won't but I had to make this lengthy post for science I guess.)
It's not the first time Dark Horse has done Disney comics by any means, they've already published the non-canonical, pre-Marvel Haunted Mansion book, and later Return of the Gremlins.
I will, actually, so there's always me. Not particularly fond of Frozen, but I'll have a look.
Did not know about those. Thanks for the correction.
If it's going to be similar to the Joe Books series like I'm expecting it is, then this won't be for you. It's just a bunch of short stories featuring the characters from the movie and they're kind of just blandly written. (It's one of those books you can tell while reading that is mainly just for little kids with no one else in mind.) Nothing about them that's particularity funny or interesting. You can check out an issue of the Joe Books series and judge it for yourself if you want but if you don't care for the movie, then I doubt you'll care for this comic.
It maybe odd I'm going back to this threat right now but... So what about that Lena story that wasn't publish? Makes you wonder what's was the deal with that...
It's not like it spoils things at this point right?

Perhaps the comicwriters hadn't been told that Lena was going to die, and had to shelve the story to preserve show-accuracy? (Presumably they're saving it until Lena comes back from the dead.)
It could be that Disney’s US publisher (or the arm of Disney that approves the comics for IDW) either didn’t like the stories because they contradicted the TV series, or there was something in them that they didn’t feel was appropriate for a children’s comic in the US. We may never know. (I still wish they’d make the lettering just a tiny bit bigger, as sometimes it is hard to read it).
