I recently purchased DuckTales #5. And in the second story, Donald tells the nephews that he has a job interview in Calisota. And Launchpad notes that Calisota is "a lot of miles away!". So, apparently Duckburg isn't in Calisota in the DuckTales 2017 continuity. Either that, or the comic writer got it wrong.
As for the question, might just be Launchpad being a klutz.
Except they then actually hire a pilot and plane to get to Calisota (Launchpad can't fly due to a broken leg), and all of the other characters also act like Calisota is far away.

Haven't read the story yet, but that is truly bizarre. The writers know about Calisota, but not that Duckburg is in it?
I think that's the only explanation. Like why would they intentionally do something like that? This makes me raise the question of where Duckburg is in that comic.
Maybe they decided to have Duckburg switch coasts again?
Was Duckburg ever on the East Coast? Mouseton, yes (or at least Mickey's unnamed home town), but the Ducks have always been portrayed as living on the West Coast, haven't they? Anyway, I'm sure someone will ask Angones soon and we'll get a definite answer (thankfully, when it comes to clarifying errors and mistakes, of which this appears to be an example, he's forthright, rather than lapsing into his "spoilers" mode).

I've already asked, on his Tumblr blog. He hasn't answered yet, but I only asked this morning, so he probably will.

He's answered other questions since, but not yours yet. However, his Twitter profile lists his location as Duckburg, Calisota, so clearly this was an example of an uniformed writer, not a reflection of the state of affairs in this universe.
