I find Donald's expression in this panel from Barks' "Wild About Flowers" very funny, as well. Same goes for the sequence in "Christmas for Shacktown", when Scrooge moves in with his nephews after losing his fortune.

Yes! That Barks drawing of Donald working sooooooooo very hard to try not to show his anger and disgust, and, thus, give Gladstone the satisfaction of rubbing in his unbeatable luck, is fantastic. It WOULD be funny to me, IF I didn't identify with Donald so much, and therefore, HATE Gladstone so bitterly! Arrrgggghh! Drommels! Foooeeiiiiii!
Thanks. I tried it, but you sent me to "Login", but I can't log in, as I am not a member. But there was no way for me to navigate to where I could join. Can you please give me a link to the sign-up page. I am constantly sent to the "Login Page" when trying to find the website's Home Page.
Well, that is awkward! I have been using it for so long I forgot how I signed up... and it seems things have changed since then.
They say you need to create a forum at forumotion.com... You may try that, but maybe some other options could work better.

For some strange reason, I've always been amused by the scene in "Back to Long Ago", where Scrooge, irritated by a psychologist's unpaid bills, storms over to his office reading off his acronym-based litany of degrees, thinks to himself that the guy should add "DB" to it for "deadbeat", then proceeds to physically confront the man and actually say "DB" to his face without further explanation. Scrooge seems highly impressed by his own wit here. Sorry, I can't find a good scan of on the internet it to post (it's the last two panels of the first page, if anyone has easy access).

The ending of Bark's Gladstone terrible secret is one of mine all time favorite punchlines - but to be fair it works cose the entire story is so darn funny (the part when Gladstone ask Scrooge for money)
I know some people hate it but this scene made me laugh like mad the firt time I read this story (I won't argue it's more The Simpsons then Disney Ducks, but it's still incredeble funny moment)
But sadly I don't have any scans at the moments... plus It's hard to me to translate some of the jokes which I only know in Polish. The story is about Goofy writing a novel about himself becoming a famouse actor and going insane with fame. At one point Goofy announces "My next movie will be titled My Nose... And that's all You will see!" and the movie posters say "Great Goofy in... HIS NOSE!"
The story is full of great absurd bits and I love how Mickey is the incompetent one in Goofy story. Big recomendation on this one.
Know as Maciej Kur, Mr. M., Maik, Maiki, Pan, Pan Miluś and many other names.

So true. No wonder Barks seldom used Gladstone after that story: it's not just that it was released around the time Scrooge was becoming a major star and getting his own comic book title, it's also that it's such a perfect character study that it was hard to do something new with the character that could top it.

While I see why some people would have problems with that scene, I have always thought it was very funny.

That story is part of a long series in which Goofy writes a new story every Wednesdey and reads it to Mickey, with the latter being annoyed for the reversal of roles between them (Goofy as the hero, Mickey as the bumbling sidekick) and for the fact that in Goofy's stories many things don't make sense. Sometimes Mickey succeeds in making Goofy rewrite some parts, sometimes he doesn't.
