Strangely enough, the scarier stories I remember have very similar endings (that I won't spoil for the moment).
Paradicchio
Donald is sick of working for Scrooge and dealing with the people of Duckburg, so he decides to go look for the Shangri-La-like land of wonders called "Paradicchio", hidden somewhere in the mountains... a place where he can be happy and enjoy anything nice. However, he gets homesick, but learns you can not leave... the last page is quite a creepy contrast from the rest of the story.
(Also, there sure are a lot of Shangri-La based lands in the Disney Comics Universe... Tralla-La, Shan-Grilla, the one in "Legend of the Three Caballeros" just called "Shangri-La"...)
Donald has tons of gold and jewels at his disposal... but being alone there, without any of his family or friends, he quickly gets homesick. The Paradicchio people look like angels in white and are friendly at first, but when Donald tries to leave, they get very angry and decide to punish him.
So they lock him in a dark cell... and Donald finds out there is a huge, threatening insect-like monster coming to kill and eat him.
Donald is in despair, cries and begs for mercy. "No! Please, have mercy! Set me free! I promise not to leave! I will stay! Please!!"
But yeah, remember when I told you about that cliché ending?
Turns out it was all just a dream. Donald wakes up at Scrooge's office, and he gets scolded for sleeping on the job. Donald is too happy to be here and quickly serves coffee, saying how the paradise he visited was real hell.
Maybe it's not much, but it was quite creepy for me at the time.
