So, the original Tumblr page that this was posted on has been adding more screenshots and such from the episodes, here: holisticvolunteer.tumblr.com/tagged/The-Three-Caballeros. It looks like the Aracuan Bird is going to be in the show, and that April, May, and June are recurring characters. Also, that goose character is an evil wizard.

All these sites seem to be regurgitating the same information and include the Angones quote that Scrooge MacDuck elicited, without really saying anything new. Hopefully we'll get something official soon.
Realy, the Clinton Coot thing dosen't suprise me... not in this day and age.
Even if the writers waren't massive Rosa fans and they still wanted to make "Donald Duck get's a house from his great-grandfather" plot point is was realy a matter of quick Disney wiki search - Oh! Such character already exist! Let's go with him!
...or in even more realistic theory, they simply made a biting game what most obscure character they can base a new Donald Duck show around...
- Jose and Panchito! - April, May and June!
And then some highroller came in and was like :
- BOOM! Clinton Coot! Mike drop!
And after a long silence and a quite "Who?" in the background they wen't with all the three options to be safe. Simple as that
OK, so although there's still no episodes released anywhere except that extremely obscure Philipine app, but there's been a couple more screenshots and other info leaked, and it turns out that Frank Angones was very wrong about the show; it's not an educational show, but an entertainment-based adventure series. Also, save for a few exceptions, supporting characters are animals/dogfaces, not humans. And, most importantly, Duckburg does appear (by name) in the show, and there's a (very short) cameo by a certain character that I'm really looking forward to: (SPOILERS AHEAD!) basilbardot.tumblr.com/post/175237772974/jittermuffin-theres-a-three-caballeros-thread-on

Yes, Angones' comment was wrong on many fronts.
Is it just me, or is there no sound in that clip?
Wonder who voices Scrooge here? Not that I can hear what he's saying. The DuckTales '87influence is very obvious here.
I find it hard to believe that Scrooge appears and HD&L don't. Hope we see them, as a cameo if nothing more.
Are there any humanoid characters besides Xandra? As was mentioned above, some of the anthropomorphisms are very atypical (think Soccermania) although some screen caps show typical dognoses.

Well, if I'm right and this series is the past Three Caballeros adventures referred to by Rosa (if loosely), then this would presumably take place before HDL came to live with Donald. Though again, I could be (very) wrong.

I wish it could fit in to the timeline that way, but then how could AM&J be around looking like they're pre-teens? They're generally portrayed as the same age as HD&L or possibly even younger.
In the headcanon I've constructed in the absence of more detailed information, Donald met José and Panchito when he was in the Navy, but I'd be willing to accept the origin story this show presents as well, if it's the way it has been described. However, fantastic characters like Xandra and the timeline may be problematic as far as accepting the show wholesale into my comics-based version of events goes.

Fair for the timeline, but why would Xandra be a problem? The supernatural definitely exists in Rosa's universe (cf. Quest for Kalevala, and, well, almost anything involving Magica).

Well, I guess I'd have to see exactly what role she plays in the series, and how she ties into their introduction to one another. I'm willing to accept a certain degree of the supernatural in the occasional adventure, whose elements I can mentally "blip over" if need be as far as the overall universe is concerned, but when it comes to set-in-stone, frequently referenced origin stories (such as how the Three Caballeros met), I'd prefer it to be devoid of the fantastic and supernatural, if it is to become canon in my mind.
So, who is Xandra? Is that the warrior-goddess-type with the bow & arrow? Is she a character you all recognize from some other show?
Yes, and no. She was created for this show, it seems.
BTW, tons of new screenshots here, including one with an apparently corporeal Clinton Coot meeting Donald, José and Panchito, and Humphrey the Bear from the classic Donald Duck cartoons.

All fantastic stuff! …so digging into the backlog, apparently this person was contacted by one of the makers of the show, who made them promise not to leak full episodes online to create hype? Aside from the somewhat dismaying fact that we live in a world where creators have to ask nicely for fans not to commit copyright infringement as a personal favor, this suggests that the show will get an official, grand U.S. release. So yay.
…My prevailing theory about all of this is that the DisneyLife app screwed up and debuted it too early, and after those few days of sort of watching the fandom's reaction Disney have fallen back to this Mark-Beaks-esque "yay! free hype!" scheme. But do you think there's a chance they did all this on purpose for the frenzied investigations we have witnessed to serve as promotion? It sounds conspiracy-theory-ish even to me, but what do I know.
It will be a fascinating development if I actually end up liking a Three Caballeros show *more* than New DuckTales. It could happen, though! That is, if we do indeed get to watch this show eventually in the USA.
It's less likely to annoy me by replacing beloved characters with podpeople with the same names (Louie, Gyro, especially). I'll be interested to see what they do with April, May and June. Thankfully, they are not all dressed in shades of pink and purple. I'm not so deeply committed to a certain take on AMJ as I am on HDL, who in my mind must be virtually identical in personality and members of the Junior Woodchucks, etc. The creators could develop AMJ in new ways without upsetting me so much, unless they're Quack Pack-y.
