Another full-issue story? Thank you! The short stories can be fun, but for a series like DuckTales, mixing it up with longer material is the best way to go. This may be the first time Glomgold is in one of the new comics.

By the way, I'm thinking Disney Princess got cancelled seeing as there hasn't been a new issue solicited in months and the last few issues solicited before that never came out. Which is odd because Disney just started releasing a line of toys based on this comic (http://diskingdom.com/2018/07/27/disney-princess-comic-action-figures-coming-soon-to-target/) so I really don't know what their plan here is.

Yeah, it basically seems to be kinda like back when IDW was publishing Duck Avenger as a "giant comic" and alternating it with WDC.  Now it's WDC/DCS alternating with Disney Afternoon Giant, I guess.

Agreed, Deb! I'm guardedly hopeful about the two full-issue stories that have been solicited. It could really help the title if they sometimes had the chance to tell a story in more depth.

The book has improved some from the earliest issues. I think that they had the handicap of not knowing where the show is going, making it harder to tell new stories.

I've read the first two trade releases of DuckTales and I enjoyed both of them. They kinda hearkened back to the classic Duck comics ten pagers in a good way but also refreshing at the same time. The only real complaint I had was that the issues featuring Della came way too early in the book's run. One because that issue was solicited before the show even began airing and spoiled her reveal but even then, seeing her in action that soon does lessen the impact of the show's mystery around her just a little bit. It would've made more sense if were getting that now and not on the third issue. But if the comic has improved since then, then I've got some good reading to look forward to.

The best DuckTales comics (in my opinion), the William Van Horn/John Lustig version, will be reprinted in the upcoming trade paperback DuckTales Classics.

I'm looking forward to these two-part DuckTales stories too. But doing some inducks searching and comparing to the upcoming issues, it looks like IDW are skipping two Webby-centric stories:

Spies Like Us
On the Tail of the Run-Amok Raven!

I hope we get to see those two published in English some day too, especially the one with Lena. An issue focusing on Webby would be great imo.

I think Lena's story may have been skipped because she's no longer who she was in the series. There is just so much in these issues that really doesn't mesh with the TV series and just plays out like an old S-coded story revamped to cosmetically fit the new show. Not every story, but a lot of them give me that impression.
