It is available on the UK, French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Italian amazon's in case someone needs to buy it as quickly as possible. (And probably on other amazon pages I did not check.) But relevant shipping costs may apply
Ramapith How about a similar volume, this time collecting all the Gottfredson comics Donald appears in?
The Case of the Vanishing Coats Editor-in-Grief Race for Riches (Donald only cameos, so maybe just the relevant single strip) Oscar the Ostrich (Donald only cameos, so maybe just the relevant single strip) Helpless Helpers The Seven Ghosts and Sunday strips (ZM 35-02-10, ZM 35-03-31, ZM 35-04-07, ZM 35-04-28, ZM 35-06-16, ZM 35-06-23, ZM 35-06-30, ZM 35-07-07, ZM 35-07-21, ZM 35-12-01, ZM 35-12-15, ZM 36-02-23, ZM 36-04-12, ZM 36-04-19, ZS 37-10-03, ZS 37-10-10, XUD AWW 1)
I believe such a book would be perfect for people who love Donald but did not get the Gottfredson books as they are not that into Mickey comics. You could even call it "Donald Duck by Floyd Gottfredson"

Jeez... that almost sounds like something Egmont here in Norway would concoct. Generally speaking, they're terrified of even putting Mickey on a cover without Donald or other ducks next to him. The local Norwegian Egmont branch even replaced the Casty cover on the 2018 Donald Pocket issue (aka Lustiges Taschenbuch in German) with a much blander party motive, even though ALL OTHER COUNTRIES used Casty's artwork without problems.

Mesterius I was aware of Egmont countries' dislike of Mickey, but did not know Norway had an even bigger Mickey phobia than other ones. Anyway, I was serious with my comment above, except maybe for the title "Donald Duck by Floyd Gottfredson". The title "Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck by Floyd Gottfredson" would be more apt for such a book.
It's not a bad idea for a book—but it would only be around 125 pages long, making for a book less than half the length of THE GREATEST ADVENTURES. Even with "Race for Riches" and "Oscar the Ostrich" included, it would only be around 2/3 THE GREATEST ADVENTURES' length.
We'll see... for the moment, the Fanta schedule is *very* full of upcoming projects, including more Masters volumes (and yes, slipcases too!).
Peter Höpfner told me later, that this issue of the LTB was the worst seller in that year. So, yeah, the Mickeyphobia is unfortunately very real On the other hand, I'm glad that since my last post in this topic, Germany did finally get its Gottfredson library (a direct adaptation of the Fantagraphics edition - including the one error where a strip was missing the recap panel!), so all is not lost

Höpfner is the German editor then? That's really sad to hear... the inclusion of Casty and Massimo Bonfatti's story "Tutto questo accadrà ieri" made it one of the best Donald Pocket issues I had read in years. (Granted, I don't buy them all the time.) I'm glad at least the countries aside from Norway still used Casty's cover art for the mentioned story. It gives the cover some class and dignity, worthy of celebrating Mickey's 90th anniversary. The Norwegian cover looks embarrassing by comparison.

Yes, he used to be the editor-in-chief. He has become more of a contractor now but still works on the pocketbooks. And I agree that it was a great issue. Easily the best in a long time. Including the cover (which is something I had suggested some while before, so maybe I had a small hand in getting them to choose it!). The one featuring the sequel (LTB 526 in Germany) managed to garner an even slightly higher Inducks rating but of course we didn't get another Casty cover...

Or you can add "Wise Little Hen" and the 67 ZS-coded Donald one-pagers and then the book becomes "the first 4 years of Donald in American comics" showing Donald's evolution from "Wise Little Hen" to being Mickey's friend to becoming the guardian of HDL.
