versions of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"

The Christmas episode of New DuckTales (which I haven't seen, I gave up after the first season) is a version of Dickens' "Carol" and it made me want to list versions of that story featuring classic Disney comics characters. Here's a feeble start, and I'll edit this post with additions y'all suggest. I'm including cartoons and Little Golden Books, but putting the post here rather than in the "other Disney stuff" section because I'm mostly interested in the comics stories.

Also, there is Korhonen's Mr. Clerkly's Christmas 2006, which isn't a "Christmas Carol" retelling, but which does refer to Dickens' story in multiple ways.

I'm sure there are more. I finally remembered the Beagle Boys one!

I recall a very funny story that was a parody of typical A Christmas Carol retellings, where Scrooge begins to worry that Clerkly is another Bob Cratchit and second-guesses making him work on Christmas Day and things. This culminates in his confusing a pizza delivery guy with a hoodie for the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.

…Then it turns out that Clerkly is as workaholic as his boss, who dislikes useless days like Christmas as much as he does; that the shack Scrooge saw him in is not his home, but a building McDuck Enterprises is set to demolish, which he was double-checking for anything valuable on his spare time because the only thing he does in his spare time is more work; that the injured boy he took to be Clerkly's Tiny Tim is just a neighbor's kid who broke a leg while skate-boarding; etc. 

I read it in French, but I… think it's been published in the U.S.A. too? It was definitely an Egmont story.

By the way, I recently used my amateur-picture-editing skills on this to get a clear picture of what Carl Barks's Ebenezer Scrooge looks like, as an illustration for the Ebenezer Scrooge page on the Wiki. He looks like this:



Rather plumper and more colorful than the usual, eh? I like it a lot, actually.

That one was printed in English in Britain, under the tacky title of A Christmas Quackarol. GeoX not only reviewed it, but performed the interesting experiment of trying to match Dickens dialogue back into the speech balloons, where the official British translation had translated anew from the Italian even where Martina had directly quoted the Italian translation of Dickens.

MacDuck: I believe the story to which you are referring is Korhonen's Mr. Clerkly's Christmas, which was reprinted in Gemstone's CP 5.  I will make note of it in the opening post, though in a separate category because it's not a story that directly redoes the pattern of Dickens' story.

I just found on Inducks a comic-book adaptation (as distinct from the newspaper strip adaptation, later reprinted in comics) of "Mickey's Christmas Carol"--the German "Ein Weihnachtsmärchen".

I don't see the 1949 adaptation from The Rexall Magazine mentioned:


It is even more interesting because seemingly Donald played the part of Scrooge as the character wasn't that established in 1949. (Although he looks like his uncle on a few panels.)
