To be honest, I would be more disappointed if they cancelled Uncle Scrooge, even without the previous editorial crew, than DuckTales. I honestly didn't expect it to last as long as it has.

Personal preferences are not the point — the problem is that DT was certainly the best-maintained book in the series, and the one Disney presumably has a closest eye on. So if that prized pony is going down, it's not good new for IDW Disney Comics as a whole.
Regarding the DuckTales series, it could be that they simply caught up to production. To be able to publish an issue every month they also need 20 pages of comics to be produced every month, it's not like the other series where they can choose from an endless pool of old stories.
If this is the case I hope they use the opportunity to print the two Webby-stories they skipped earlier (Spies Like Us and On the Tail of The Run-Amok Raven!) Even if the Lena one might have worked better before Season 1 of the animation ended.

Apart from those two stories, are there any others that have not yet been published or are not yet scheduled to be published by IDW? (I know the information is available on INDUCKs but it's not all that intuitive.) If not, perhaps they have simply run out of material. Nevertheless, if a comic book based on a contemporary TV series that's popular enough to have been renewed for a third season cannot sustain itself, it indeed does not augur well for the American Disney comics line.
Admittedly, if Disney Publishing Worldwide is producing these stories, they may well be at the whim of not just US purchasing habits, but international sales as well. Also, we may be jumping to conclusions that there won’t be a new issue in June. Perhaps they are trying not to get too far ahead of the production of new stories. As for the missing stories, maybe Disney TV didn’t want them released in IDW’s books because they contradicted what was going on in the TV series.
