Okay, how many separate freaking Frozen and Tangled titles can Disney make? Is this some kind of tax scam?
My guess is that they want to have a new issue #1 every few issues because they think the books are going to sell better that way. (Do they really though?)
That's how they're approaching DuckTales now too. Put it on hiatus for a few months, come back with a new issue #1, and people are supposed to jump at it, so they believe.

With regard to DuckTales, I believe we discussed on another thread that there were just two stories, starring Lena, that hadn't been printed in the US yet. So where is this mini-series coming from? Is it brand new material? Sorry, I can't seem to locate the thread in question, nor easily find the full list of DuckTales '17 stories on INDUCKS.

The different Tangled, Frozen and Incredibles mini-series we've seen lately actually have a long story printed in parts over several issues. It's hard to keep track of everyting, but at least they have a reason for doing mini-series.
For the new DuckTales 3-part "Silence & Science" series, it sounds like the stories inside have nothing to do with eachother. So it seems they just made a new seies for the sake of making a new series... We now have the second issue listed, with the "Phantom Science" story.
I think the Tangled comic has been doing the same thing as DuckTales with having multiple different shorter stories being grouped together. That's fine for trade releases but it looks stupid when your single issues keep resetting back to #1 every few months. I can't see it realistically doing anything to improve sales.
