The new issue of Picsou-Soir is (finally) out! Even though most people here can't read French, I still think it's worth announcing a new release, if only for the cover illustrations. This one was done by the talented Mikkel Hagen to accompany my latest article!
I also really like the cover (and the content of course!)

Thanks! I worked closley with Mikkel on this one, telling him exactly what I wanted to see. I had very specific ideas as to what drink each of the ladies should have!
In this issue: a special feature on the major media of Duckburg, an article on the many pets of Donald Duck, an analysis of a famous page from the Life and Times, an investigation on the founding of the Junior Woodchucks, a 4-page comic by Pascal Graffica, and many more surprises!
We’re far behind schedule, but we’ve finally done it: the newest (and 9th) issue of the French fanzine Picsou-Soir is out! (Better Nate Than Lever, someone said.) On the menu: the use of Disney characters in pop art, an analysis of religiosity in the Duck family, an interview of the veteran French translator Jean-Paul Jennequin, and many other things!
It contains, among other things, an article on Fantomius by our friend sim , an interview with the creator of the website DucksManager, and an article on Ariel Dorfman and Armand Mattelart’s famous essay How to Read Donald Duck. As usual, you'll also find a few fan comics at the end, two of which were written by yours truly.
📣 The 12th issue of Picsou-Soir has just come out!
On the menu: an article on portraits of the Duck family, our heroes' favorite beverages, non-Barksian references in the works of Don Rosa... and more surprises !
And of course, the usual reviews of the latest releases (and there have been many!), a new featured item in the "Duckollector" department, hitherto unseen (at least in French) fan comics, and a gorgeous illustration by Mikkel Hagen!
Huge thanks to Ted Johansson for that wonderful cover!
