Hello everyone!
I read on another homepage that Scrooge's book keeper, Mr. Clerkly once had a vacation. I don't want to make a link in my very first, so I'll just quote the text:
"Clerkly actually loves his job to the point of workaholism and fell into depression the one time Scrooge, in an excess of generosity, gave him one day's vacation."
However I have not been able to find in what story this vacation took place, if anyone knows I'd be grateful to learn it, thank you.
I also have a memory of having read a story where Scrooge either sacks or gives Clerkly (or a similar employer) a day off, then Clerkly ultimately has to save the day, and he and Scrooges agree never to re-do it (either sacking or giving a vacation). I wonder if this is the same story as referenced in the quote? If not, what is the name of the story I try to remember?
So far I have searched inducks a lot without any success on the Clerkly story, though I have found many other great stories I had forgotten existed. Sadly the homepage does seem to favor specific authors, so when the stories I have been searching for happens to be not one of theirs, I have had a hard time finding it.

I'm looking for a Mickey Mouse strip (post-war, pre-1963) where a painted flower grows out of its frame. Can anybody who owns the Fantagraphics volumes confirm if it's in any of the stories?
I have recalled another story that I have been unable to find. I believe I found it some time ago, but I've been looking for it for more than a week now without finding anything.
In the story I am looking for, Donald suddenly is able to count large quantities instantly. I think at one point he counts the amount of spectators in a stadium.

Like before, any help is much appreciated.
Perhaps one of these (attention - I did not read any, but the description seems close)?
Does anyone remember a Donald Duck story where he was tricked into helping a man and a woman into doing some work for them, but they started exploiting him? I remember them saying "we can use him as our own personal slave" but not much else. It was not a Barks story and was most likely published in the 90s. Any ideas?

I remember that one! But forgot the title too. It was in a late 90s "Journal de Mickey", I think.
Doesn't it end with Donald becoming arrogant and at a restaurant, he says there are too many people and that he should take priority?

Hi all, i recently found a collection of my old Donald duck comics, and remembered that one of the first book I ever read in my life was a Donald duck comic, but unfortunately I no longer have it. As far as i can remember, the comic was about Donald and his nephews taking over Grandma Duck's farm and running a bed and breakfast for a family while Grandma Duck is away on vacation. I remember one bit of the story where Donald is so overwhelmed, he was making pancakes and mixing cement instead of flour, something else involving fake eggs if I am not mistaken. The comic I read was an Indonesian version, but it could have been translated from the Dutch version. Any help would really be appreciated because I am so keen on finding that comic again. Thank You in advance!
I was looking for a long time for two Donald Duck stories and can't find them, here's what I recall :
The first was Donald becoming an expert in explosives, with people asking him to do all kinds of different explosions. He was hired in restaurants to make mini-explosions for volcano-like desserts. I think he had to explode a tree in the end? Second story was Donald creating a chemical formula that made everything good? Or at least something that everyone loved. But in the end when he had to replicate it he didn't note the dosing of ingredients...
If it ring something for someone, I'll be thrilled because it seems lost in time and can't find them on Inducks...

I remember this story, but I can't find its title. But I'm pretty sureit was an italian one. Donald found that he is very good with his explosion, and becomes more arrogant every time. After he is hired by the Junior Woodchuck to remove an enormous tree, and when his quantity of explosives doesn't work, he escalated adding more and more every time, but not moving the tree of a centimeter.

Thank you! Indeed it might be an Italian one, as I read a lot of Topolino originated stories back in the day. Now I wonder why it's not on Inducks, maybe all the Italian stories aren't on it? Thanks again anyway, I don't feel alone in this anymore haha

I really think it can be Paperino e l'abilità esplosiva (https://inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2069-4) by Pezzin and Scarpa. I may have a copy of the original issue in italian if you want to check.
Topolino stories are usually very well documented on Inducks (but not always easy too find, since there is so many of it).

Oh yeah it's absolutely this! Managed to find back the album I read it in (now to find it back in real life!)
In my country they're making a Scarpa album collection, but they're at album 10 and it's still the stories from 1963... This one being from 1995 I'm about to wait for a long time! Thanks again for the find!
