hi. I look for this story everywhere, in all forums in all languages. as well as in Inducks. this episode appeared in France in thé 80's. what origin I don't know (italien? American?). just vague memories of this episode that I remember having read as a child: Donald, in the past, Roman or Greek. certainly a slave shipwrecked Aline on an island full of olive trees. he spends his days eating olives. One day he meets a lion from which he removes a thorn and who becomes his friends. Mater, at the end he finds himself in an arena where he finds the lion who spares him.
Sounds like an adaptation of Androcles and the Lion. Sounds like an Italian parody from the 1950s or 60s, but nothing I can find on Inducks.

I might be making things up but it rings a distant bell. In fact, I can sort of see Luciano Bottaro drawing something like that in my head!
Unfortunately I've got way too many of these comic books to ever find a story like that again except by pure chance.
Any stories where HDL are in a peril they can't get out of on their own? I happen to know the Beagle Boys once tied them up and left them in a barn attic. (And then we have D 92009, D 96168, D 95079, D 95019W US 64-02D 97052D 2010-026)

A story (title?) with Mickey as a professional Private Detective has Mickey encountering a foreign couple calling themselves Alucard who seem to have all the classic vampire traits, while people are turning up sick in hospital with marks on their neck.
From what I can see, the story in question is D 93206. Anyone can confirm?

Can confirm. Just checked the Dutch reprint that I own.
I'm curious. Has Donald ever lost custody over the nephews?
In the Shaws’ Role Modeler (maybe spelled with two Ls on Inducks), a social worker threatens to take the boys away from Donald. He’s trying to prove that he’s a good parent, but the boys don’t know what’s at stake and they make it very difficult for him. He doesn’t actually lose custody of them, though. And I’d imagine that story is the closest you’d get to that scenario.
What's the story where Donald and the nephews is almost* getting sacrificed(?) to ants?
*I say "almost". There was something that frightened their captors before the ducks were properly tied.
Fairly sure that's Billions in the Hole. Inducks is down at the moment, so I can't send a link.
No, while that story does include ants it isn't the one I'm thinking off. (Actually, I don't think we see any ants. Their captors are just boasting that the ants 'won't have any trouble finding food'.)
