I know that Disney several times had tried before to adapt the Reynard stories, so I am surprised they didn't add him in the comics at least. I say he would be pretty interesting if he was added into the Brer Rabbit comics as a villain because of the fact that Reynard could be an even trickier adversary to overcome. For one thing, in his stories Reynard usually comes on topic despite being a despicable scalawag. Also I could see Reynard and Brer Fox butting heads, especially since I could see Reynard being depicted as a criminal mastermind man of culture like Ratigan or like in the scrapped concept art as a con artist who knows how to fake himself as legit. I actually would love to see Reynard as someone who has even less moral qualms than Brer Fox. It could also be interesting if they brought in their version of Chanticleer as an ally for Brer Rabbit.

Personally, I'd rather see Reynard in animation first. I like to imagine that him (and Robin Hood) are ancestors to Nick Wilde in the Zootopia-world.

Reynard's world would fit Robin Hood's better, because Reynard's world has avians and monkeys in it unlike Zootopia.
