Anyone here getting Picsou currently, and can tell me which characters' cards are in which issue? I was able to get a copy of Picsou 547, which I *love*--all the stories featuring Goldie and Paperetta, as well as Korhonen's Klondike series! The cards in that issue, appropriately were of female characters (though not including Paperetta, sadly--I guess I still need to make myself a card with Paperetta). I'm not drawn to buy the other issues of Picsou including trading cards for the stories alone, but I might get one if it has a trading card I'd really like to have.

I had to look up "Paperetta" to find out who that character is. I take it you don't care much for her English name Dickie Duck?

Yup...but I took an oath to stop complaining about it, so I Am Not Complaining!
It's cute, but combined with Scarpa wanting to name Filo Sganga "Jubal Cock", I'm convinced he was just mocking the Disney guys and sneaking as many dick jokes as he could lol

Did Scarpa choose the English name? Really?! Dickies Duck sounds like the literal translation of the Italian 'papera cazzuta', where the vulgar adjective 'cazzuto' means 'with a dick', and is mostly used figuratively to denote people (often women) with a strong positive attitude.
Can I wrench this thread back on-topic, please? (Though I'm fascinated to hear of the papera cazzuta!) Doesn't anyone on Feathery get Picsou? Scrooge MacDuck? Anyone?

Hey there! I buy Picsou Magazine from time to time, but not every issue. I'll try and investigate for you, though!

Hello again! So, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the whole "character cards" thing may have begun with issue #543, because --if Im' not mistaken-- it's the first whose cover bears a roundel that says "1 poster, 8 collector cards, 1 giant sticker!"
EDIT: Someone just told me it started in issue #542!

Thanks! Do you know which characters' cards appear in which issue? Is there a listing anywhere online? If it's in French, that's fine.
Picsou 547, the women's issue, had Daisy, Donna Duck, Goldie and Brigitta. I gave the Brigitta card to a friend who's another lifelong Disney comics fan, because Brigitta doesn't exist in my mental Duckburg. Very happy to have the Goldie card! I just wish that instead of Donna they'd had a card for Paperetta/Dickie/Chris, who was one of the featured female characters in the stories in Picsou 547.
