For those interested in this topic, I just published a blog post regarding why Cornelius shouldn't be considered Grandma's grandfather. I already reported some evidence in the message I am quoting, but there is some more and I would like to know your opinion about it.
By the way, Sim - Your article features a scene from the story in which Bridger Duck appears! Is it clearly stated that Bridger is Donald's great-great-grandfather? Or could he simply be a great-great-granduncle?
He is only mentioned to be a generic ancestor. He mysteriously disappeared in 1810 and so did his other descendants that I mention (one every 50 years) and Donald should face the same fate.
Although I don't share some decisions of yours, this is really well-made and interesting! Anyway, the image you used for Daphne Duck is actually Gladstone's aunt in the original Italian story.
I just remembered this comment of yours the other day. You say that's Gladstone's aunt. Does the story give her a name? Gladstone has at least two other aunts - Thea and Esmeralda. Could this be retconned into being one of those two?

she is called Gastolinda... keep in mind that Gladstone is called Gastone in Italy, so she could easily renamed Linda (Gander?)
It also says that pintails grandfather Donaldo is married with a McDuck, the sister of "Dagobertus McDuck", a baker from Milan.
Dagobertus McDuck is (In English) Malcolm McDuck which cannot be true due to them being alive at then same time. i have no idea if im late or if someone has already replied or you already know this.
