Thought a central INDUCKS thread might be useful. I know cacou visits these parts now and again, this might be better than having a bunch of separate threads. Is the website down? Discuss it here. Looking for something? Discuss it here.
Lately, I've been wondering about a couple of features that I'd like to see in INDUCKS. It may be a bit presumptuous to talk about this on a public forum, but I'm also kind of interested in what others' end-user experiences of INDUCKS are. However, if this discussion veers in the wrong direction (something I've been in hot waters about before, many years ago), then by all means, flag up.
Now I absolutely love INDUCKS; it's like Wikipedia in that you can get totally lost in all the comics and all the publications. Given the sheer size of Disney comics, it's amazing that a resource like this exists at all. Anyway, here are some of the additions I've been pondering. Maybe some things that could be implemented?
One of the features I use is the personal comic book collection. You have options for several types of collections, digital, doubles, etcetera. But what I'm missing a little bit is the opposite: a wishlist of all the comics that you'd like to own. You can add your own category of collection to the list and it doesn't show up in the rankings, but it does show up in your internal virtual collection, and the comics on that list won't be "earmarked" either.
Since INDUCKS is the biggest collection of stories that are known to exists and that people have, it feels a bit weird that this one is missing.
Next up, the creators watchlist/subscription. I personally don't use it, because that's not how I collect comics. I would, on the other hand, be interested in a watchlist for publications, so that you get a notification when a new issue of that series you're following has been uploaded to INDUCKS, so you can mark it as owned.
