I found out it's actually already implemented, but you need to use a feature that wasn't originally meant for this. It's not intuitive, a bit impractical, but still do-able.
NB: this forum changes the term "niza" (switch the a and i) by the string "WAK", so please edit the above url by substituting WAK with the forbidden word.
Is there a page on the INDUCKS site which lists all the abbreviations for characters' and creators' names which work in the search? Or is a character's abbreviation listed somewhere on one of that character's pages? I end up guessing at the character abbreviations, and I'm fairly often right, but there must be a list somewhere!

There's this page that lists character abbreviations:

Oh, yes, crazycatlord, now I see! That's a good way to find it for a specific character, since the list TheMidgetMoose helpfully pointed out is alphabetized by abbreviation, not by full name.
However I can't find a webpage with all abbreviations. You can find them in the following file (this is for those who want to download the entire database): inducks.org/inducks/isv/inducks_person.isv
Why does Inducks keep listing the French name of Reginella as "Pulcinella" even though this name has never been used in any French prints of her stories? Even the recent reprints keep calling her Reginella in supplementary articles.

I'm confused about this, too! The set of tear-out Duckworld character cards just published in issues of Picsou calls her "Pulcinella"! I don't have anymore my copy of the first story in French--since it has since been published in English, I didn't keep it. And I don't remember what she was called in that printing. Do you have access to MP (ancienne) 1284 to check this? My photocopy of the French version of story #2, il ritorno di Reginella, is from SPG 12 and there she's called "Brunella." My photocopies of #s 3 & 4 in French, "Donald noble coeur" MPG 133 and "la Menace terrestre" MPG 170, both call her Reginella. And since those two stories were published in France in the 90's, after the first two (70's and 80's), I don't know why the name "Reginella" didn't become the official French name.
That's how Paperinika, now finally called Duck She-Venger, spent a decade as "Super Daisy," even though the name doesn't actually work with the character's mythology (she wants to keep her identity as Daisy secret!).
Someone took a name from—in that case—not Inducks or Wikipedia, but a fansite with fan-created names.
Although I'm just a lowly freelancer at Picsou, I have a project to ensure that kind of confusion doesn't happen any more (or happens less often, at the very least).
Orora, juicymcduck, anyone: can any of you check on what Reginella was called in the printing of her first story in MP 1284? Was she called Pulcinella there? If not, we have a real mystery as to where that name came from in Inducks!
In terms of correcting Inducks: the character page lists Pulcinella as the “most common” French name in the first column, then lists both Brunella and Reginella as alternate French names in the second. My sense is that, if indeed she was Pulcinella in her first French appearance, that should be with Brunella in the “occasional names” column and the “most common” French name should be Reginella.
Reginella is not named in MP 1284 as far as I can tell, except as "Princesse". I have changed her usual French name in Inducks as "Reginella": out of her 6 appearances in a comic, she is named "Reginella" 4 times, and "Brunella" once. inducks.org/character.php?c=Reginella&view=5&countrycode=fr
As to where the name "Pulcinella" comes from: it's me. I was told long ago that Michel Mandry had originally chosen the name "Pulcinella" for Gloria, Fethry's girlfriend. Why Pulcinella ended up as Reginella's name, however, I do not know, but it seems this mistake has been there for many years. I can not find any "Pulcinella" name in Gloria's earliest appearances either.

Thanks so much for clearing up this mystery, cacou! And for the report on the story in MP 1284. Glad to know that Inducks now lists "Reginella" as the usual French name.
Also, this means Ramapith's guess must be right, that the folks making the trading cards in Picsou got the name "Pulcinella" from Inducks!
