I was re-reading The Prisoner of White Agony Creek yesterday, and a question sprang to my mind: how (and when) did Scrooge obtain that lock of Goldie's hair exactly? Since she did not immediately recognize it when she opened the safe, we can at least be certain that she did not give it to him (especially since they were both so reluctant to express their true feelings). The simplest solution might be to assume that he obtained it early in the month at White Agony Creek by cutting it while she was asleep, but that sounds a little... creepy to me. I guess he could also have gotten it from the Blackjack Saloon somehow, or from the local barber?
It’s definitely not a crucial question, but it got me wondering.
He received it when he saved Goldie from the bear (p. 9–10). The bear grabbed her by the hair and he cut it with his knife to free her. After that the two dispute again, Goldie leaves and Scrooge is alone with the curl on which he seems to look pensively.... what happens after that is probably clear ;-)
Edit: I'd like to add pictures but it seems to not be possible – does anyone know why?

If you're trying to add them by uploading them directly to the forum, the forum has used all the space alloted to it by proboards. You need to upload the images somewhere else and link them here

D'oh! the answer was in the very story. Which I've read. Yesterday. I think I may need more sleep.

Ah Ok, thanks! Actually, it's not so important here, but good to know!

A question about Goldie's lock of hair that Scrooge has kept: Does it only appear in The Prisoner of White Agony Creek and The Billionaire of Dismal Downs?

It's also in The Recluse of McDuck Manor.
When exactly? I looked trough the story again and can't find it.
