The thread name might be a bit vague, but basically.
In 1928, Mickey Mouse is shown to the public with Plane Crazy in test screenings and Steamboat Willie in wider release. We know he's named Mickey Mouse, as the titlecards name him such. He faces Pete, who we DON'T know is named Pete, and only gets called so in 1930 (together with being called Terrible Tom in one strip).
Where I'm curious is, when is Minnie Mouse established as such? Obviously the end-all-be-all is 1929 with the introduction of Minnie's Yoo Hoo in Mickey's Follies. And internally, I believe she was named Minnie from the start, unlike Pete who in the scripts was called "The Captain" or other vague descriptors as such. Was there anything public, though, before Mickey's Follies, calling her Minnie Mouse? A poster, a newspaper article, something like that? Or is Minnie technically an unnamed character like Pete for her first few appearances?

I should check, but the answer might be found in here I guess.
