I'd like to try my hand at writing an Uncle Scrooge script. I'm experienced in writing other genres, but have never tried a comic script.
Owing to the fact that I am not an artist as well, and to the state of comics in America, I doubt this will go anywhere beyond fan fiction, but nonetheless I would like to try.
In the back of the Daan Jippes and Freddy Milton Disney Masters edition, there is an article titled "Doing it the Barks Way," where they give a high-level walk-through of their creative process, but I can't make out from the one photo of a script what the parameters are (word count, how much "stage direction" to offer versus dialogue, what is the technical formatting of the script, etc.)
Can anyone either refer me to something online I may have missed or something published in book or magazine form?
If nothing exists, perhaps we could flesh it out in this discussion thread?
Thanks!
Anastasios
PS I am thinking either 10 pager or 32 pager...not interested in a 1 pager gag. Those are harder, I've read!
