I enjoyed the tale. I thought it fairly captured the feeling of the 1930s Mickey Mouse comics with some modern additions (most notably, Donald's role. He was fine but I would have been fine with just Mickey, Minnie, Clarabelle, and Horace on vacation). It was great to see Goofy take a backseat to allow Horace the chance to shine as Mickey's second-in-command.
I liked it. While it seems a bit overly long, the pacing of the jokes and action keeps it moving along. It’s nice seeing old favorites like Horace and Clarabelle again, as well as Pete and Sylvester. This seems like one of the more ambitious Glenat albums, offering more of a coherent story than Mickey’s Craziest Adventures or Mickey All-Stars, and not rewriting the characters’ personalities as much as A Mysterious Melody. Overall, it’s a good one, probably the best of these Glenat books that I’ve read so far.
