So...
There is something I think all of adult Disney fans should see and have a good laugh.
In the show Atlanta, season 4, episode 8 ("The Goof Who Sat By the Door") is... and I quote:
"An in depth look at the making of the American Classic A Goofy Movie."
You don't need to know the show to watch this - it is it's own thing, that from what I understand has nothig to do with the rest of the series (almost felt like the creators had this idea for a difrent project but asume this way more people will get to see it)
The entire episode is in form of a documentary and tells the story of an afroamerican animator named Thomas Washington, working for Disney in the 90's, who by mistake becomes the head of the Disney company and decides to use his new power to make "the blackest movie in history" and the title of his vision is... "A Goofy movie".
And honestly I should stop here as this thing is to funny to Spoil. It takes itself super seriously (to over the top levels) talking how "A Goofy movie" was ment to be this important racial statment, while trying to tell the tragic story of visionary behind the movie. It's clever, satirical and takes you offguard many times. They even got few celebrities to play themselfs.
What suprised me is how much footage the episode uses from not only "A Goofy Movie" but also older Disney shorts and other movies ("Beauty and the Beast") especialy since entrie thing pokes fun of Disney company and some can argue it dosen't show it in the best light. Then agian, "Atlanta" is now on Disney plus so why the heck not?
[Looking back, it would explain, while they didn't mention "Song of the South" or "Dumbo", despite the subject matter]
Seriously, a super big recomendation.... I just have to add a little warning it's clearly ment for adult/mature audiance, but I'm sure we are all adults here
