Usually, you can just go on Inducks and find one of the magazines/books where it's been published and go find it...
But unfortunately, some stories have been published only very few times, and sometimes ONLY ONCE.
Which is kind of a shame!
For example, there is this character called Juanella Van Damm, a rich spoiled bad-tempered lady duck who was a love interest to Donald in a Scarpa story (Donald and the charming billionaire), until she turns hateful towards him.
(and yes, the color artists originally couldn't decide whether she had white or red hair)
Her story is more or less a classic by Scarpa, and she has her own page on both Picsou Wiki and Paperpedia.
She made two new appearances in comics. But those comics have been published only ONCE. And never translated outside their original country!!
Juanella in Rififi no Jet Set, only appearing in Brazilian magazine Margarida #172.
Juanella also reappeared in Donald and the computer challenge, where Juanella appears as his "true love" when decided by a computer! Only appearing in a special Italian magazine about computers!!
I think it's a bit of a shame, since she has potential to be an interesting character... especially considering the fact that she used to be Daisy's classmate, and she hated her because she cheated by copying on others!
What are some of rare stories you are interested in finding but are near-impossible to find?

In this story Mickey falls in love and marries a witch. coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+1785-A It was never published again. It is said that the originals were destroyed. I guess showing Mickey in love and married, especially with someone other than Minnie is a big no-no.

I managed to get a hold of that story. It's quite touching, it's so sweet!
I don't like this double standard between Mickey and Donald. Donald would be allowed to do a story like this, no doubt, but it wouldn't work with his character. You can't make Donald this gentle and timid...
This story of mine is very rare, as it has only been printed in Germany (Jan Gulbransson Hall of Fame book) and USA (Walt Disney's Comics & Stories 691). These are Page 1 and Page 4 of the story (H94215) from 1994: In it, Donald tricks Uncle Scrooge into sending all his money to The Moon and hiding it inside one of Carl Barks' nostrils!
Yes, buy a copy of US Walt Disney's Comics & Stories 691 (I'm sure you could find one for sale on Amazon.com or some similar comics sale website). I'm also sure that you realise that because of copyright law, we are not allowed to upload complete stories onto websites for public viewing. One or 2 pages of a longer story would be the most allowed. If it were a 2 page story, then 1 page at most. If it is a one-page gag, maybe a half-page at most. You cannot upload an entire saleable item, whose rights are owned by somene else, without permission from that party.
I know, the "we" here was referring to "we Frenchmen"; as in, I wish the French editors would give us a translation of your work.
The French Disney publishers DO print Dutch stories. Why don't you and several of your French friends write to your publisher, and suggest that they print that story (H94215)? It can't hurt to try that strategy. Then, IF it does get printed in France, I would ask you to get a copy of it for me, as I collect my printings from every country. I have many duplicates of Dutch and US comics I could trade you for French printings of my stories.

Interesting. I never know how these things work. It's not exactly printed anywhere.

It SHOULD be printed within the next 6 months in The Netherlands. We submitted it in 1994. Somehow, the original inked pages got misplaced. We sent Jan's photocopies of the inks to VNU in 2004. But, apparently, the photos of the inked lines were not consistently dark and thick enough to print. We offered to send copies again, recently, but Sanoma decided to have them re-inked (or have Jan's lines touched up). There is a new story code now in COA for the re-inked version, with inking being listed as done by Comic-Up Studios. THAT version (listed in COA as H94215-B), should have been completed several months ago, and should be ready for printing. So, it should already have been scheduled for printing. I will be notified about a week before the Dutch printed comic is on the shelves. I will let you know when it is issued.

Haha, that's great to hear Robb, but I meant the rules about posting excerpts from comics online: those aren't printed anywhere, either!

It is the responsibility of the owner of the website to list the rules that apply to copyrighted materials. If you read The Rules of this website carefully, you will see that the chief moderator has referred to the non-respecting of copyright laws (termed as "asking for full comic scans") as an offence potentially leading to banning (at 3 strikes (offences), implies that any member or visitor is NOT allowed to post full comic stories (however large or small). I can tell you that editors from De Geillustrerde Pers/VNU and Sanoma Uitgevers have posted on both McDuck.nl and McDrake.nl that a poster may not post a large portion of a story (e.g., at most 1 or 2 pages of a 10 or more page story, and less than half of a 1 page gag. If I remember correctly, they indicated that ignoring such rules could result in the website being shut down.
You are correct that it would be nice to see those rules clearly staed, and covering particular actions in detail. I think it is a good policy to just post no more than a very small portion of any story, so that we can keep our national fora and this good international forum going.
So, there's Evert Geradts' "80 Jaar" coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=H+2014-071 --written for the 80th anniversary of Donald's first appearance --my impression is that it's kind of a mess, with everyone in it but the kitchen sink, and (I hear tell) with the conceit that Donald is *actually* 80 years old, which is a road not worth going down. Note that it hasn't been published anywhere but the Netherlands and Brazil. HOWEVER, I am still hopeful that some day, in some "Walt Disney Treasures"-like collection, just the section dealing with Della Duck can be published here for fans to see. As I understand it, Della leaves the boys with Donald while she goes off in a spaceship, not realizing that they will grow up during the to-her-short time she's gone.
I'm particularly charmed by this, because when my godson was nine or ten, he decided that HDL's parents had had to go into space from some important reason. Only way in his mind to have them be alive and not deadbeat jerks and yet completely inaccessible for years.

I like the idea very much too. The difference between our point of view being that I also like the many characters involved and the acknowledgement of 80-year-old Donald.
