I read them in German only but I also speak Esperanto, English, French and Latin. Most German fans think that the translation done by Dr Erika Fuchs is much better than Barks' original text.

Have there been Esperanto versions of any Disney comics? Or, barring that, Latin? (I know there have been Latin versions of Asterix and, to wander out of comics, of Harry Potter, so it's not out of the question…?)
English. It seems like all my language education just goes through one ear, out the other. (And I don't feel like pulling out Google Translate just to read a comic.)
I grew up reading Disney comics in Portuguese because I am Brazilian. Nowadays I can read them in Portuguese (of course!), in English and with a bit of effort in Spanish.

There was one story in Esperanto that appeared in the Italian Topolino magazine. It's even about that language. And I can remember an article about Disney comic translations into Latin for school students which learn that language.
I grew up with Swedish Donald-stories, but nowadays I prefer the originals in English, so that nothing gets lost in translation (I mostly read the old American stories). Since the characters are American, it also feels more immersive to know that I'm actually reading the words that they're actually saying in their own language.
But Swedish and English are the only two languages I'm fluent in. I guess I could understand most of Danish and Norwegian too, at least in written form.
