Oh, heck, I'll start a thread for this, so it won't get lost in the "surviving family members" discussion.
Are AMJ ever given a last name in English-language comics? They apparently have the last name "Duck" in French and "And (Duck)" in Norwegian. But do they have a last name in English? On the expanded English-language Rosa Family Tree, they are included in the "Notable Characters" sidebars, and there they are given no last name. I would think if they had an established last name in English, Rosa would have included it.
We know (from their first appearance in "Flipism") that they are the children of Daisy's sister, since Daisy is visiting her sister and there they are. In that story they are not even given first names. Someone else first called them April, May and June, and Barks went with that in later stories. If it has not been established that their last name is "Duck" it could be anything.
If we want to accept the theory that their father is the distant relative of Donald and Gladstone, Fred Duck from Milton's "A Picture of Justice," then their last name would be Duck. But that theory seems to have been developed outside of the comics themselves. In a post here in March, The KKM says Daisy doesn't appear in that story and asks whether the theory that he is AMJ's father comes from Monique Peterson herself. We shouldn't trust the family tree in Peterson's book, because according to a post by Scrooge MacDuck on that "Cousin Fred" thread, Peterson shows Fred as Daisy's probable brother and AMJ's father, whereas we know that AMJ are the daughters of Daisy's sister, not her brother!
