Here's an active forum I recommend, and from which I have come from:
*Les fans de Mickey et Picsou: A French-speaking forum about Disney comics. It is directly linked/affiliated (?) to the Picsou Wiki. I am an active member here (with the same name!).
Yes, it's quite surprising that the Picsou wiki has so many pages! The fact that French Disney comic production has ceased is no problem. Let's say there are some very passionate French contributors. They also post on the aforementioned forum.

Partly inspired by an art themed issue of the Finnish donadist fanzine Ankkalinnan Pamaus I recently created a Duck and Mouse themed art blog called Duckburg Museum of Fine Arts. Comments as well as suggestions for artwork to be added to the "exhibition" are welcomed!
I gave the forum a BIG visual update, changed the layout to be more user-friendly and organized subforums so that people could talk about a wider variety of topics.
Unfortunately, the forum has been losing activity since last year... I hope things will get better.
So, any French-speaking fan... you are more than welcome there!

I've collected a few german websites I know: Fieselschweif Forum (in my opinion the best german forum) Disney Comics Fan Forum (not quite AS good as the last one and sometimes the users are a little bit unfriendly, but it's totally Okay) Zwischen den Panels-Blog (this is my personal blog, I'm just writing on a review to The Life and Times of Scrooge) Hinter den Kulissen Entenhausens-Blog (Very interesting blog by a very interesting writer) Topolinia, Paperopoli und Jungle Town-Blog (Also a suggestion by me, hosted by a very interesting guy) Panelwelten-Blog (as you might see, this blog is quite inactive, nonethenless, the reviews are very, very good)

So Disney comics is a pretty small thing. At least in the English-speaking countries like the USA. But in this thread, I will recommend you some other great communities for Disney comics.
Reddit.com is a website focusing on different hobbies and interests, where you can find a lot of great, but small, communities about Disney comics. The thing that is great with Reddit is that it allows you to have more theme specific discussions.
I would recommend all of you to go check out: r/Don_Rosa, r/DisneyComics, r/DonaldDuck and last but not least r/CarlBarks for Carl Barks artwork and discussions.
Do you have any other Disney comics related forums or communities?

The Disney Comics Mailing List just sort of died out without formal last rites ... what was the reason for that? Is it just the outdated nature of mailing lists in general? On a similar topic, does an archived version of the old Disney Comics Forum still exist, as we were assured when it first went down? And if so, is there any hope that a searchable, non-modifiable version will ever see the light of day again? This forum seems to have more-or-less taken its place, but there were a lot of interesting threads and a lot of useful information there, and it'd be a shame if it were really lost forever.

All I can tell you is that archive.org has unsatisfyingly little of the site saved up.

The Disney Comics Mailing list started to die when we created The Disney Comics Forum. Most of us moved over to the forum. Too bad they had such SPAM problems. Now, most people won't go back to DCML.
The DCML, launched by Per Starback, was *the* place where organized international Disney Comics fandom really got started. It led directly to my first contacts with European Disney fans and pros.
The Inducks and COA emerged from the DCML, thanks to Harry Fluks and Francois Willot, and remain invaluable resources used by researchers and publishers worldwide. The sheer number of Disney Comics issues actively improved by Inducks research is, I think, unimaginable.
The DCML seems to have drifted into the background as the DCF and other message boards arose. If it is essentially gone, I hope its signal contribution is not forgotten.
In its own way, it changed my life, and those of many others (perhaps unknowingly).

Hi guys! Here are two Greek pages:
ΚΟΜΙΞ Wiki: The Greek Counterpart of Picsou Wiki and Paperpedia. The Wiki is about Disney comics but its focus is the KOMIX Magazine (greek page about the magazine, french page) and the stories it publishes.
DisneyComicsPress: Linked to ΚΟΜΙΞ Wiki, this site is for Disney Comics and it has reviews of Greek and Idw Issues, News for the Disney Comics in Italy, some intrviews taken by the site's members from creators like Gervasio or Q & A from Greek Comics Cons, in which Disney Artists answer fan's questions.
