Both Carl Barks' first family tree and Mark Worden's illustrated version of it got their first mainstream release in the sixth volume of the Carl Barks Library (May 1990). But both of them were produced much earlier.
Barks' tree is thought to have been created in the early 1950's, and is said to have been published in a fanzine (maybe even more than one) after Barks gave the original to a fan. Worden decided to illustrate the tree after seeing it in a fanzine, and published both versions in his book "Carl Barks Checklist" (Second Edition, 1981), which by the way is were Don Rosa first saw both trees.
I know the earliest fanzine to publish Barks' tree must predate this 1981 book, but can anyone identify the name and issue of the fanzine and the publication date?
