Donald singing mellifluously to Daisy (or rather, her perceiving it that way) reminded me of the classic "Donald's Dilemma" short ... a few callbacks to it would have been well-placed.
Is Daisy going to be recurring? I presume so, in which case they might have developed the Donald-Daisy relationship a little more gradually ... perhaps Daisy could have started working at McDuck Enterprises in some fashion and gotten to know Donald over the course of several episodes. Their instant attraction was sweet, but seemed a bit rushed (I made the same argument vis-à-vis the introduction of the Rescue Rangers into this universe ... this show is committed to multi-episode overarching arcs, so why not use that in instances like this?).
I also feel introducing Daisy before bringing Della back would have worked better ... it would have given Daisy insight into Donald's paternal instincts, and her "You have kids?" comment would have been more meaningful. They've also chosen to give her the temper she had in the classic shorts but which has been toned down in recent animated shows. I'm not necessarily unhappy with that choice per se, but now we have three characters with short tempers (Donald, Daisy and Della), so it starts to seem a little overused.
The animation in this episode was, as usual, fantastic. Overall, an enjoyable episode (although José and Panchito didn't seem to have a whole lot to do).
I also couldn't help but get the feeling that Gabby's being positioned to be yet another Mark Beaks relative ... could she be Emma Glamour's long-lost daughter? I mean, I can't see Glamour owning a dagger, but maybe that's part of the joke.
