A lot of newer shows like "Steven Universe", "My Little Pony" or "Gravity Falls" in't trying to put all the characters in every episodes as well. Just those that necessary to the plot. To be fair with main cast this large (Scrooge + Nephews + Webby + Donald + Lunchpad = 7 main character, 8 if you count Mrs. Beakly ) it would get crowded.
I wonder if will get some episodes with no Webby. I like her but so much focus was on her so far, It's easy for "DuckTales" to turn into 'The Webby Show"...

Yeah, I have actually no idea of how animation tv shows are in these years. I don't watch them. (Not because i don't like them. It's just one thing that I don't do ) Well, except for important tv series like Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman, obviously.
Also worthy of note, apparently the first few episodes are being aired out of their original order. The original order was:
1) WOO-OO! 2) Daytrip of Doom! 3) Unannounced Huey Ep 4) Great Dime Chase! 5) Beagle Birthday Massacre! 6) House of the Lucky Gander! 7) Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks! 8) Living Mummies of Toth-Ra! 9) Terror of the Terra-Firmians!
- The episode dosen't have much to do with Barks "Land Beneath The Ground" but without SPOLING to much let's just say they where respectfull in some ways. I have a hunch we see more of Terries and Ferries in the future.
- I like the Huey vs. Webby stuff and Louie reaction being the middle-man made me laugh.
- Lunchpad was way more looney here then he was on the old show but a lot of his reactions and lines made me laugh so I can't complain.
- Two Scrooge-less episodes in a row... For which we can blame the odd rearranged. I don't think they would make such mistake deliberately. You can sort-of tell something happened between this episode and the previews one, since Mrs. Beakley is in discord with Lena from the first second.
- I like how they developing Lena character so far. She is geting very sympathethic.
- Magica so far is cool (and yep, end credits credit her "Magica de Spell" so it's not just her shadow).
- I'm not a fan of the fact that Huey is calling The Junior Woodchucks Guidbook... "J.W.G.".
- SPOILER!!! Mrs. Beakley ask Lena "who raised you" and she get's very upset. I have a theory Magica ISN'T her real aunt but she escaped her real family and Magica got care of her... she appears to have an hooligan background.

Yeah, it's not as bad as we thought for the Terra-Firmians. As for the De Spell family intrigue, yeah, I thought it was clear to most everyone that while her design is inspired by the Demon Shadow character from the first show, this was just the real Magica pulling a Quirrelmort, rather than the Shadow as such.
Also, I am highly amused that shortly after the pilot came out, somebody on tumblr chreated a fan character — Magica De Spell's niece… called Lenore De Spell.
Yyyyeah… if I had to wager a guess, I'd say we'll get a moment of Scrooge breaking down Gladstone's philosophy and confronting it with the work ethics his Old Pa taught him, prompting a flashback to Fergus teaching Young Scrooge.
My guess as well. They hinted Gladstone's father in the character description so maybe Gladstone will then bring up his dad and what He teach him to show more contrast with Scrooges life.

Or maybe Gladstone's father will be alive and well and standing right there running the casino along with him. At least I hope so, there's no reason for Gladstone's parents to also be dead, in the comics or in this series.

Actually, there is. Believe me I wish I could agree with you, but one 1950 Barks story (I forget which) he states his closest relative is Grandma Duck, implying his parents are dead; and besides, it makes more sense if his parents are dead to explain the numerous stories where his luck ends up manifesting as him inheriting something from a distant great-uncle or the like.
Wasn't it stated on Barks's personal Duck family tree that Gladstone's parents died after overeating at a free picnic, and he was adopted by Matilda McDuck?
