I picked up some cheap issues of Boom Donald Duck recently and enjoyed the Donald Duck as Double Duck stories. I see it went a bit further on Comixology but is it still going in it's country of origin?
If so, has anyone heard anything about anyone in the US continuing with it?

It does go on in Italy. I'm not sure IDW will print more, though. They might, to go along with their Duck Avenger series… but on the other hand, the Boom! run of DoubleDuck was met with mixed reviews at best, so I'm not sure.
In 2016 it had a crossover with the duck avenger guy, www.staynerd.com/wp-content/uploads/imm-4.jpg In may first collected volume of doubleduck is coming out in this edition: topoinfo.altervista.org/riviste/definitive-collection Looking forward to this very much. There will probably be even more episodes made, there are a bunch already, what was published in us was just a tiny portion of it. In america I dont think it has a very bright future, there is tons of amazing stuff that still didnt have its chance there, which should have priority.
Here's a list with all DoubleDuck stories so far. I personally like the series a lot, not all stories are equally good but I'm really happy that we still get them in Greece.

Oh, that's a shame about the mixed reviews. I really enjoyed the stories. I really need to learn how to read Italian...lol

Wow, that's quite a bit more than I expected. I wish the Disney stuff sold better here in the states so it could support more of the different stuff.

The problem, generally, is that a lot of Duck fans were angry that they were only given DoubleDuck, with no "normal" Duck stories to go along with it. This was at the same time as the publication of Wizards of Mickey in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories, and, together, the two series drove the fans mad.

Count me among those "angry fans driven mad". In the early Boom days, I actually did something unthinkable ... stopped buying Disney comics, because I had no interest in Double Duck, Wizards of Mickey or Ultraheroes. I only returned once they started printing classic stories set in the "real" Duck and Mouse universes again. IDW is doing the right thing by printing both "usual" Duck and Mouse stories and niche subuniverse titles like Duck Avenger and Donald Quest (although I wish they wouldn't cancel any of the Core Four books when a subuniverse miniseries is being published).
Edit: to avoid being completely off topic, I mean, who is the publisher of these literature parodies along with double duck series on Comixology?
As far as I know, those three things were scanned somewhat illegally by GeoX himself from a British printing, and Marco Polo he even translated himself. No idea how they got on comiXology. Perhaps whoever puts up the stuff on comiXology figured that since GeoX hadn't a legal leg to stand on, they could just as well take advantage of his work. But to do that I'd have to see an extract from the Marco Polo translation to see if it's the same as GeoX's.
Regarding the literature parody stories, the British prints and comiXology use the same translation, but with different localization. Here are two examples from "Three Musketeers" (left) and "War and Peace" (right)
The British books have the translation credited to people from a translation company called Dynamics.
And comiXology definitely didn’t use anything scanned or fan translated by GeoX...
