Dutch Donald Duck Weekblad 1998-15 was especially related to Easter, including The McGreal's Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's Farm story, as well as my own Gyro Gearloose "The Duplicating Machine, which was about Gyro's Pig client wanting to duplicate his hens to harvest more eggs. Here's the INDUCKS entry: inducks.org/issue.php?c=nl%2FDD1998-15#e
- My story (H96142) wasn't specifically related to Easter, but was included in that particular issue because eggs are associated with that holiday. The McGreal's story is D95144.
The INDUCKS summary of the McGreal/Vicar story says: "Donald, who fills Easter eggs with toys at the factory, loses Daisy's heirloom inside the egg." So, apparently the setting of an egg hunt at Grandma's farm is still not taken! But I'll try to find that one, anyway. Interesting that Germany reprinted it fairly recently but *not* in one of their Easter-themed paperback collections.
Doesn't look like I'll be able to find your story, though, since I can't find regular issues of the Dutch Donald Duck for sale online.

E-mail me, and I'll send you the scanned pages of my story (unfortunately it has only been printed in Dutch and Suomi (Finnish). Let me know if you want me to translate it into English for you. Being an English native speaker, and reading German at a cursory level, you should be able to get the gist of a Dutch story, especially THIS one, which is highly dependent on the illustrations. It reads almost totally in pantomime, and you are knowledgeable in the subject matter. But, if you'd enjoy it a lot more having the translation, I'd be glad to do it for you.
It turns out that my story IS an Easter story, because I had Buurman Varkensgezicht wanting to produce hundreds and, later, thousands more eggs, because of the increased demand for eggs during the Easter holiday period.
Yup, got my second shot last week, yay! Thanks for the offer, I'll email you. Yes, though I took several years of German in school, I find Dutch easier to read than German, since it's closer to English. When stories I want to see haven't been published in English, I look for French, Dutch and German, in that order. Often end up with German, though, because lots more Germans sell their old Disney comics on eBay!

That's because the Dutch have their own online second-hand sales website: Marktplaats. I assure you, you can find any Disney comic you want on www.marktplaats.nl. We're quite prolific salesmen!

So far they have resisted the temptation of shrinking 4-tiered stories for the Easter pocketbooks. They are probably keen to not use up what can be used in the Donald Duck magazine, which typically has an Easter theme (lead story and cover). Here are the most recent issues:

All right, I will investigate this later tonight! I wonder what kind of payment is accepted, and how many sellers will ship to the USA.... It's super-convenient on eBay to use PayPal. But I would be Very Pleased to be able to find certain Dutch back-issues with stories I have long wanted!
