Just looked at these. Interestingly enough, the description for Mickey Mouse Timeless Tales Vol. 3 says it will contain issues 13-21 which means it will have the rest of the series before becoming Donald and Mickey. Unfortunately, Donald Duck Timeless Tales Vol. 3 is only collecting up to issue 18. Maybe they could bundle Donald Quest with the last three issues and have a fourth volume? I don't know.
Here's more info on upcoming trades from Amazon. Keep in mind these release dates won't be accurate as I believe Amazon gets them in stock later than comic shops do.

Are all the IDW Disney trades (including Duck Avenger and Donald Quest) still smaller than the size of their regular issues? And, will this also be true of the upcoming DuckTales trades?

The Duck Avenger trade is larger in size than the other trades from IDW. I don't have it here to compare but I believe it's about the same size as the regular Duck Avenger issues. All other trades I've seen are significantly smaller than the regular issues. The Donald Quest trade isn't in sale yet, but according to the listed size on Amazon, it's going to be printed in the small size too.

Thanks. The Amazon listing for the DuckTales trade provides no dimensions, unfortunately.

I have the Duck Avenger trade, it's the same size as the regular issues.
Perhaps Donald Duck Timeless Tales #3 was in the works before they decided to pull the plug on Donald's monthly comic book, while because of the hiatus for Mickey Mouse Shorts Season One, Mickey's third volume took awhile longer to prepare, so it could be adjusted accordingly. The resulting Mickey Vol. 3 is about as long as the Mickey and Donald: The Search for the Zodiac Stone hardcover. I too hope they'll figure a way to give us Donald Duck Timeless Tales Vol. 4, as I really like these hardcover books.
I would also like to ask. Despite the printing issues that IDW is currently having, are the Timeless Tales hardcover series still planned to continue and will any of the content from Walt Disney's Comics and Stories aside from the Zodiac Stone storyline be collected in hardcover format?
The first volume in a new hardcover series called "Walt Disney's Comics and Stories Vault" was just listed on Amazon. This series lookes like it will be collecting stories from WDC&S (except the Zodiac Stone serial that already have a hardcover etition)
From the description: Legendary writer/artists Carl Barks, Daan Jippes, William Van Horn, Andrea "Casty" Castellan, and more come together for this massive celebratory collection, anthologizing IDW's 75th Anniversary Special, plus select stories from issues #721-734! Paul Murry's Wild West Mickey serial "Ridin' the Rails" is here in full, and the entire WDCS stock company--Goofy, the Big Bad Wolf, Magica De Spell, Chip 'n' Dale, and many more!--jump in for adventure and mayhem!
The fist volume is currently scheduled for a May 2018 release.
As someone who is trying to collect the hardcover editions of the other core Disney series, this is excellent news to hear. Thanks.
Edit: Just noticed that the current trade releases for WDC&S are under a series titled Donald and Mickey. previewsworld.com/Catalog/JUN170527 That may be confusing to some people now that we have another series called Donald and Mickey.

According to Amazon, the first issue of IDW's DuckTales trade (which seems to have been delayed?) will be smaller than standard comic book size, as is the case with the majority of their Disney trades. Not unexpected, but disappointing. I guess I'll be sticking with just the individual issues for this title as well. Does anyone know why they do this? Very annoying. Their non-Disney trades are all standard-sized.
