DuckTales #1 (the second issue, #0 being the first) will be on sale tomorrow. Looking at the preview, it looks like we'll get 5 different cover variants, one being a convention exclusive. But does anyone know what con(s) this one will be on sale at?
The number #0 convention exclusive was sold at SDCC with a printrun of 500.
It seems to me like the print is offset on mine. Giant gap on top of page, same on both copies.
Mine as well.
They made no attempt to hide the identity of the "mystery character" in their "Next Issue" promo, so I guess they long gave up on keeping that unspoiled. Still no indication of how Della's (it's not a spoiler anymore) going to fit into the continuity of the comic series. This issue (#1) seems to also be a prequel to the TV show (like #0 was), so perhaps her appearance will be in flashbacks after all (others have pointed out how HD&L don't appear on any of the covers for issues #2 and 3, where Della's slated to appear), but that would contradict the description of issue#2, where she is said to "join" her sons on an adventure. Also, I doubt they'll reveal her fate in the comic series, since the first season of the TV show will not be over by the time issue #3 appears (it looks like they'll be entering modern-day TV show continuity with issue #4).

DuckTales #0 and #1 just appeared inside the French bimonthly Super Picsou Géant (also featuring the recent Mickey Mouse parody of Fritz Lang's Metropolis by Artibani and Mottura...quite an issue!). So, comments from the French-based part of the forum asap!
I am not surprised to see Italian artists everywhere in this new DT comics. But I am happy that the cover art is by Marco Ghiglione, my favorite Disney cover artist ever (well, maybe along a certain Walt Kelly...).

Hello there from France! The Donald stories in those two "issues" were entertaining to be sure, but to be honest, except for the artwork, they didn't feel special. A minor rewrite or two to remove the hints of HDL's different personalities, and those stories could just as well be set in the regular universe as opposed to the "2017 Continuum". Some would say that that's arguably a good thing, of course!

I read two out of the four stories and so far I agree with you. The Chilling Secret of the Lighthouse! was entertaining at best, whereas I found The Repeating Revenge of the Screaming Duck soooooooo boring! The artwork is very attractive, I like it. And there is rhythm all over the place, that's nice. But plots are lacking humor strength and interest: no better than the average Egmont ten pager from this point of view (not exactly a compliment, coming from me). Anyhow, there are the premises for some better stories when the rest of the wide ducktales cast will step on stage.
DuckTales #1 is getting a 2nd print hitting the stores next week (Jan 3rd, 2018). If you missed out on the first printing or want to collect all cover variants the order code to tell your comic shop is OCT178118
