I believe someone said before it would take around 6 books to complete the Mickey Mouse serials. Then, if the sales warrant it, I suppose there's the question of whether to also collect the early Mickey Mouse stories Murry drew outside of the serials. Some of those are pretty fun, like "The Mystery of the Double-Cross Ranch" and "The Ruby Eye of Homar-Guy-Am".
Nice! For a moment I was worried we wouldn't have any other Murry book.
Does anyone know how many of those it would take to have the complete Murry/Fallberg run?
Yes, only two Murry books would have been horrible! Seriously, who are these people who thought releasing THREE Murry books before a single Marco Rota or a William Van Horn volume was a good idea? I swear to god if they will cancel the series before publishing a Rota or Van Horn volume, I will fly to Seattle to protest in front of the Fantagraphics Books HQ!

People who think that the two most published Disney artists in English-language comic books over the last three decades should not be a priority? Maybe maybe?
(I even say this against my own interest, I would buy a Rota hardcover tomorrow.)
do we assume any creatures with stories published here makes it less likely we will get full library edition of their work?
all i know is the work of Barks and Rosa and not sure other than them would be considered good enough to the overall fans to have complete library editions that would sell well enough.
why doesn't fantagrapics just create a subscription service like what hachette does for the creators library that they think won't sell enough that way they have a guarantee number of buyers before, maybe a volume every two months ?

A volume every two months would be sensational, considering Fantagraphics' usual standard is two volumes per year. The Barks Library really should have had at least three volumes per year, I think.
Crossing my fingers that *maybe* the editors of this series will consider doing a Casty volume.
I think right now surviving the COVID-19 pandemic is going to take precedence over which volume is next. There won't be ANY volumes if the market collapses.

If the market collapses, and the Disney Masters series gets cancelled before a William Van Horn volume is published, I will be INCENSED. 3 Paul Murry volumes and and 8 volumes containing Disney Italy comics (3 rows per page Disney comics produced for the Italian market) before a single WvH volume just because the editor of the series loves Murry and Italian Disney comics? Come on!

How will we be able to tell your INCENSED ravings from your usual ravings?

Now, Deb, I agree that Caballero is being unreasonable and vaguely petty here, but on the other hand I don't know that there was any reason to bring the pandemic into this in relation to twdisneyman's. It's not as though *he* had put any kind of time-stamp on his request; obviously any musing along the lines of "I hope the editors consider a volume of X" is going to be conditional on the series continuing on, in one form or another. Most any discussion we're going to have in the non-off-topic sections of this Forum is generally going to be under the hopeful assumption that we, and the rest of human civilization, weather the current events not too shabbily.

What if the series gets cancelled because of the pandemic right when they are preparing a Van Horn volume? I am not wishing that, but at this point I think it would be funny for the sake of the joke in this forum.

Perhaps it was unnecessary on my part, but reality sometimes intrudes on my thoughts, not being a resident of Fantasyland.

I mean, I certainly don't blame you. It's just a more general point that since as a matter of fact we do not have the privilege of being residents of some disease-free Fantasyland, I imagine that if most of us still show up to talk about comics & cartoons on a forum such as this, it is more to forget the current troubles than be reminded of them.
