Well said shrelp ! Even though Fantagraphics aren't producing new Disney comics, in my opinion they have become the new epicenter of Disney comics (after Egmont's 30 year rule).

In today’s market? When pigs fly. God knows I’d love to be proved wrong, though…
Well I too am unsure about them ever starting a Disney monthly comic book series. But they have seen a lot of success in the monthly comic book market with their series "Red Room" whose sales has been increasing by leaps and bounds. Probably, might venture into making other monthly comic series ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can understand why some of you would want someone to publish American monthy Disney comics again, but in my opinion 2 Barks hardcovers + 3-4 Disney Masters hardcovers + the translated Glenat albums + various other specials (such as the Lo$ Deluxe edition or the upcoming Scrooge 75th anniversary books) every year are plenty enough. The only way a new American monthly series would excite me if it contained newly produced American Disney comics.
Btw, if you think about it, Fantagraphics have published over 70 hardcover Disney comic books since they started with the first volume of the Gottfredson Library 11 years ago. 70 Disney hardcovers in just a decade. That's nuts! How many American hardvover Disney comic books were published before 2011 in total? Certainly far less than seventy!

That could be about the amount of Disney pocket books the German division of Egmont publishes per year.

I'd like to see the classic comic books resume publication, too, even if I only buy (some of) them in book form after they get collected. It's a nice tradition. Plus, the mixture of different artists is fun.
They are continuing doing the volumes chronologically in the boxes, and with the same layout as before.
I wonder how these will sell after the break in doing box sets. I used to buy the boxes, but when they stopped I got volume 13-18 as single books. And now I'm not sure what to do.. and I'm probably not the only one. Getting double copies will be very expensive and I won't be able to sell the books I got for the same price I paid. But it's going to annoy me every time I look at the book shelf. Also I've stopped buying other books that potentionally could get a box in the future, like the first Disney Afternoon book. But I hope not many do like me, becasue then the first batch of single volumes won't sell and the series will be cancelled. I really think the box sets should have been sold close to the release date of the single volumes.

If they ever do launch a new set of those comics, I have a pile of stories ready to roll!
