I’m not sure if the new Branca volume only has his newer stuff. “The Green Attack” was published by Gladstone in the 80s, so that isn’t too recent a story.
No news for Vicar yet, but I remember hearing from David Gerstein that #26 was tentatively slotted to be a Rota book. Maybe for #28?
Yes, "The Green Attack" is earlier Branca, before the distortion (as seen, for example, in "Sub-sub-Zero").
I notice that Disney Masters 22, Operation Galleon Grab, has two birthday stories: the title story is set off by Scrooge's birthday, and "There's No Fool like an Old Fool" by Donald's. I wonder whether that was a subtle nod to the fact that this volume is being released during Disney's centennial year?

I believe Branca no longer inking his art himself after 1996 or so is why his later work looks rather loose and (as you say) distorted compared to earlier years. In my eyes, Branca's golden age as a Disney artist was prior to this point.
Speaking of which... who took over as Branca's inker? Wanda Gattino? Or were there several?
In any case, there's certainly a big difference between the artwork in this (D 98080)...
On a side note, it looks like the preview image of the next Scarpa book shows Cimino’s name on the spine. I wonder why? Even if it’s just a placeholder, I don’t think that he was on the spine of any previous volumes. Either way, did he actually work on any of the 4 stories listed in the description? I don’t think so.
At only 116 pages total, there must be one (or two?) more stories not mentioned in the description that round this title's page count out to 200.
They could put the quasi-sequel to River of Time in there as well? That's, incidentally, the same story that was taken out of Topolino at short notice.
Interesting, so they will publish the Boomer Buff story. I thought they might not, since this is a Mickey volume on the cover.
Plenty of the volumes have had both mouse and duck stories inside, so I don't see why not. Mickey or Donald/Scrooge on the cover often just signifies which universe there will be more of.
